🎄✨ Christmas Wreath Making at Chapter 17 ✨🎄

Join us for a festive afternoon on Sunday 29th November, 4–6pm, when the lovely Philippa Storey will guide us through making our own Christmas wreaths.

You’ll start with a 20cm base and fresh mixed greenery, then decorate your wreath with three pine cones, dried orange slices, cinnamon sticks, berries, small baubles, a bow, hanging ribbon and twinkle lights. Take a peek at our photo from last year — everyone’s wreath turned out beautifully! ✨

There’ll be complimentary mince pies and a hot drink or a glass of fizz to enjoy while you make yours. 🥂

It’s £20 per person, with proceeds going towards our Linthorpe Village community defibrillator and bleed kit fundraiser. A lovely afternoon together, a wreath to take home, and a chance to support something that matters to our village. 🩷

💗 MONDAY AT CHAPTER 17 💗

And just like that… the weekend’s disappeared and Monday has come knocking again 😂
But at least we can make it a little better with a proper homemade dinner and a warm welcome.

We’ve got a lovely cosy menu on today — proper comfort food, generous plates and the sort of dinners that feel like someone’s mam has made them for you. ❤️

There’s our Parmo, Lambs Liver & Onions, Cheesy Cottage Pie, Double Cheeseburger, Pork Loin Chops and a good old Chicken & Stuffing Bun with chips and gravy.

And because Monday definitely deserves pudding…
we’ve made homemade rice pudding with a dollop of jam 😍
Plus winter berry crumble & custard — because the weather is definitely starting to tell us what time of year it is!

Whether you’re popping in for breakfast, meeting someone for a cuppa, grabbing lunch on your break or just fancy sitting somewhere warm with a proper home-cooked meal, come and see us. There’s always a friendly face and usually a bit of chatter going on. 💗

We’re opening Chapter 17 tomorrow 9am–3pm, starting with breakfasts in the morning before we get the Sunday lunches on.

And yes, our giant Yorkshire puddings filled with Sunday dinner are back — just £7.95! A proper hearty Sunday lunch, plenty of gravy, and the best bit is you can walk away without washing a single pan.

Sundays are lovely in the café. Families getting together, friends catching up, people popping in for a cuppa and staying for lunch… there’s always someone to have a natter with. So whether you’re bringing the whole gang or just fancy getting out of the house for a bit, come and see us. 💗

Everything’s available to take out as well, if your Sunday plans involve the sofa afterwards. We completely understand that one.

Our Macmillan Coffee Morning is happening today at C17 Deli & Desserts, right next door to Chapter 17 💚

We’ve got the table all set up with cakes, traybakes, cupcakes, freshly made doughnuts and chocolate covered strawberries. I think we can all agree that cake with your morning cuppa is perfectly acceptable when it’s for a good cause 💗

Pop in, bring a friend, have a little catch-up and help us raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support. You’re welcome to sit in with us, or pick up a treat to take away if you’re passing.

These are the days we love most — our little Linthorpe Village community coming together over a cuppa and a slice of cake. Hope to see you today 💚

It’s Friday, and we’ve made choosing lunch harder than it needs to be 💗

Fish Friday is covered with our hand battered fish, chips, mushy peas and bread & butter, or fish cakes if that’s more your thing.

We’ve also got sweet and sour tempura chicken balls with rice, chips and prawn crackers. Yes, rice and chips. We’re not here to make you choose.

For a proper homely lunch, there’s mince cobbler topped with mini cheese scones, served with mash, veg and gravy. Lasagne’s on too, because someone would definitely ask where it was if we left it off.

Open from 7am for breakfast and serving until 2pm. Sit in with us or take your lunch away. There’s extra seating next door in our deli too 💗

Tuesday’s specials are ready, and there’s a proper homely mix on today’s menu 💗

We’ve got our ever-popular chicken parmo, cheesy cottage pie with veg and gravy, and a double cheeseburger piled up with all the trimmings.

Fancy something a little different? Try our beef stroganoff with rice and green beans — just a little heads-up, it does contain mushrooms. Or keep it traditional with a pork loin chop, new potatoes, veg and plenty of gravy.
