Good luck!✨

Help us wish Cleveland ACF's Lieutenant Colonel Hunter the very best of luck this weekend as he takes part in a 14,000 foot skydive in support of ACCT UK and Butterwick Hospice, a charity close to his heart.

As a member of the Army Cadet Force for over 30 years, Darren has seen first-hand the impact of fundraising events like his, with the money raised by our fantastic fundraising community going directly back to support every ACF county, battalion, and sector.

Every single ACCT UK fundraiser helps us provide cadets and adult volunteers in the community with training, qualifications and opportunities that build confidence, resilience, and valuable life skills.

Thank you, Lieutenant Colonel Hunter, for choosing to support ACCT UK. And good luck for Saturday's big jump!

🏃🏻‍♀️WO1 PURVIS TAKES ON THE GREAT NORTH RUN🏃🏻‍♀️

She’s at the start line- all ready to go at the Great North Run 2026! WO1 Emma Purvis is running for ACCT UK, the Army Cadet Charitable Trust, who support our Cadets and Adult Volunteers!

Emma says:

We’ve more than doubled our fundraising target but there’s still time for any last-minute donations!

I'm so grateful to everyone who has donated so far, thank you so much! 💚

Making a donation takes 2 minutes, and as little as £2 would really make a difference!

A Red Extreme Heat Warning has been issued by the Met Office for Wednesday and Thursday, with temperatures expected to climb to at least 39°C. Everyone is reminded of the importance of managing heat illness risk in all cadet activity & those delivering training must continuously assess conditions, with activity reduced or cancelled if required.

Look out for the signs of heat illness:
❗️Headache, dizziness and confusion
❗️Loss of appetite or feeling sick
❗️Excessive sweating & pale, clammy skin
❗️Cramps in the arms, legs & stomach

If you suspect heat illness, stop the activity immediately, get the casualty into the shade, and cool them down quickly by removing excess clothing and using wet towels, sheets, or a spray to cool them. If they are conscious, give them water to sip. If they are unconscious, place them in the recovery position and call 999/112.
