Imagine if we could have more local produce in Nottinghamshire?

Nottinghamshire is looking at developing a county-wide Farmstart - to nurture a new generation of nature-based and community-driven food producers in Nottinghamshire and provide healthy, local food for all.

The Nottinghamshire Farmstart feasibility study is hosting a series of collaborative workshops with people across the county to help shape the first county-wide Farmstart programme.

See our EventBrite link here - https://www.eventbrite.com/e/food-and-produce-collaboration-workshop-with-nottinghamshire-farmstart-tickets-678067316597
A Farmstart programme helps people to start their agricultural enterprise by providing access to business support, training, producer networks, mentoring, resources, shared infrastructure and routes to market.
We are gathering people together for in person events in July and you have been invited either as a key stakeholder or as you have responded directly to one of our surveys.
Each session will last for 2 hours and there will be drinks and refreshments provided.
During session we will share our project updates and vision for the future of Nottinghamshire's food system and facilitate a conversation in regards to gaps and opportunities that exist for Nottinghamshire FarmStarts.
There will also be tours of our host venues during the day so feel free to arrive early/stay late after the session to join a tour of either one of our venues.
Timings of sessions
25th July at the Hockerton Housing Project 3-5pm
5pm Hockerton Housing Tour

A food revolution: campaigners in Liège want all the region’s produce to be grown locally. Can they do it? 24/07/2023

Inspirational story from Belgium about how they started to change the food system. Their mission “That in 35 years, one generation, the majority of food consumed in the Liège region would be grown locally in the best ecological and social conditions.”
