RL Computing PC Repair and Builds

🔧 Quick Diagnosis & Express Service at RL Computing!

A gaming PC recently came into our workshop due to a graphics card issue. Following our swift diagnosis, we found that the main culprit was GPU sag, putting heavy strain on the PCIe slot.

Because the customer was in a rush and needed the system back ASAP:
✅ We gave the interior a thorough blowout with an air duster to clear out accumulated dust,
✅ We advised the customer to order a dedicated GPU support bracket to securely protect the motherboard and graphics card from physical strain,
✅ We scheduled a follow-up date for a full, comprehensive deep clean later on.

The customer picked up their fully working PC right on time, and we made sure the hardware is safe and protected!

🔧 Behind the scenes at the RL Computing workshop!

This modern glass-panel rig recently came into our Nottingham workshop. The client noticed temperatures creeping up and the fans working overtime during gaming sessions. We know this scenario all too well! 🧐

After initial checks and removing the CPU cooler, our suspicions were confirmed—the thermal paste had practically vanished, leaving the processor gasping for air. We also spotted a missing SATA cable preventing the bottom compartment LED lighting from powering up, while the system runs smoothly on Windows 10.

We’ve put together a comprehensive report and a few tailored upgrade options for our client—ranging from a full cooling overhaul to sorting out the visual details. The choice is entirely up to them, and we’re ready to deliver top-tier results! 💪

Another PC saved in the workshop! 🛠️✨

Ever tried building a PC for the very first time, hit the power button, and... absolute silence? That’s exactly what happened to a local client who brought his very first creation in for a quick £40 diagnostic check.

After taking a look under the hood at his handiwork, we found the main culprits hiding in plain sight:
🔄 CPU Cooler Fans were mounted backward (pushing air the wrong way).
🔌 Front Panel Connectors were plugged into the wrong motherboard pins, meaning the power button wasn't even communicating with the board.
🌀 Cable Management needed a little TLC to get the airflow right.

Instead of taking over completely, we showed him exactly where he went wrong. He took the PC back home to handle the fixes himself and get that proud feeling of finishing his first build!

That’s why with us, you always have a choice: we tell you what needs to be done, and the final decision is entirely up to you. Transparency is always key.
