A huge thank you to Mandy and Keith Larner (Inert Recycling) and the guests at the MJL Inert Golf Day for their amazing £10,000 donation to TOFS. Mandy has a personal connection with the charity as her niece, Beatrix, was born with OA/TOF.

Held in June of this year, this annual event attracts celebrities from the world of football and golf including Les Ferdinand, Georgia Hall and Andy Cole.

In addition to the golf competition, the event also held a VIP auction with items such as celebrity golf rounds, helicopter transfers and exclusive sporting memorabilia.

TOFS Chief Executive Diane Stephens attended on behalf of TOFS and said “It was an honour to join the Larner family for this amazing event and eventually meet the amazing Bea and her lovely family. As a charity that gets no government funding this significant donation makes a huge difference to the work we do. This is the fourth time we’ve been a beneficiary and we’re so grateful.“

TOFS is proud to support World Patient Safety Day (WPSD), a global initiative that aims to bring together patients, families, caregivers, communities, health workers, health care leaders and policy-makers to show their commitment to patient safety.

As part of the campaign, TOFS Trustee Katrina Tyler has contributed an article for the prestigious Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh.

George Rockell charity bike ride for TOFS Day 5 ✅

Chester to Conwy 84 km 🚴‍♂️💨
🛣️ Cruised the Millennium Greenway & Wales Coast Path, crossing Hawarden Bridge (River Dee) and tracking the River Clwyd.
🏰 Passed the historic Castell Rhuddlan.
🌊 Reached the Irish Sea!
Flat terrain, but brutal, unrelenting headwinds the rest of the way made it a proper grind. Knackered!
⛺ Glamping in a YHA Conwy bell tent tonight to recover.
🗞️ Shout out to the Irish Daily Mail for their feature.
Another big leg down into North Wales.
