The best branding projects don't start with a moodboard.
They start with a conversation.
About where your business is today. Where it's going. And how you want people to experience it.
When I finished the rebrand for Hounds 'n' Harmony, the feedback that meant the most wasn't about the colours or the logo. It was this:
"From our very first conversation, [I] took the time to truly understand my business."
Not just what it offers, but the values, experience and philosophy behind it. That's where every decision comes from.
Because branding isn't about choosing colours. It's about creating alignment.
If your business feels ready for that next chapter... I'd love to hear your story.

Your brand should support your ambitions, not hold them back.
Your brand won't grow your business on its own.
But it can stop getting in the way.
I see it a lot: you're brilliant at what you do, but every time you send a proposal, post online or hand over a card, there's a tiny voice asking "does this look as good as I actually am?"
When everything feels aligned, that voice quiets down.
You communicate more confidently. You market more consistently. You show up more intentionally.
Those small shifts create momentum. And momentum is often what growing businesses need most, that next step up.
A logo isn’t a brand.
Your logo is one part of your identity. Your brand is the feeling people leave with after interacting with your business, every touchpoint, every conversation, every printed piece, every impression.
This is why brand guidelines matter. Not because they look nice in a PDF or digital format because they’re what keeps your business consistent everywhere it shows up. Your website. Your packaging. Your Instagram. Your business card. All saying the same thing, in the same voice, whether it’s you posting or someone else on your team.
That consistency is what builds recognition. Recognition is what builds trust. And trust is what lets people take your pricing, and your business - seriously.
A logo is a nice-to-have. A system like this is what actually does the work.
That’s why strategy and deeper thinking always comes before design in my design process.

Imagine feeling genuinely excited every time someone asks about your business.
Never second-guessing whether your brand reflects your business.
Imagine handing over your business card without that split-second hesitation. Launching new packaging with excitement instead of "I hope this is enough." Sharing your marketing without wanting to defending it first.
That's what thoughtful branding creates. Not perfection. Confidence.
I've had clients tell me they used to avoid certain conversations because their brand didn't match how far their business had actually come. That gap is more common than people think and it's fixable.
If your business has grown but your brand hasn't quite caught up... maybe this is your sign.

The brands people remember are the ones that make them feel something.
People rarely remember every colour you used. Or every font. Or every design decision.
What they remember is how your brand made them feel.
Confident. Calm. Inspired. Premium.
I think about this on every single project, not "does this look nice" but "what will someone feel when they hold this, open this, scroll past this."
That's why good branding isn't decoration. It's communication.

Running a small studio means every single "yes" matters more than people realise, so thank you for yours.
Every project, every "yes let's work together," every referral to a friend, it all supports one person trying to build something meaningful, one brand at a time.
Being trusted with someone's business, their brand, their story - that's not something I take for granted, ever.
If you made space in your budget for TLG Studio this year, thank you. I really do mean it xx 🤍

This moment never gets old for me.
A client holds their finished packaging. Or sees their foiled business cards for the first time. Or opens the box of everything we've made together and just pauses.
Then, almost always: "This finally feels like us."
That's the actual job, if you ask me. Not making things look pretty - making a business finally feel represented by its own brand.

The goal was never to make you look more expensive. It's to make you feel aligned.
Here's a misconception I hear a lot: that branding is about looking more "premium."
It's not.
It's about your brand finally reflecting the quality that was already there in your work.
When your expertise, your service and how you actually look on the outside all line up, people feel it - without you having to explain or convince any one of anything.
That's the real power of good branding. Not looking expensive. Feeling true.

I don't design for what's trending. I design for what's still going to feel right in five years.
Can I be honest about something?
I don't chase trends. Ever.
Trends come and go. Algorithms change their mind every six months. What looked "fresh" two years ago already looks dated now.
But good branding? It shouldn't have a shelf life.
So I don't rush the process, and I don’t design around whatever's popular this week. I design around you - your values, where you're actually headed, and how you want people to feel every single time they come across your brand.
Because I'm not building something for this season (there is a time and place for that however :)). I'm building something for the business you're growing into.
Slow and considered over fast and forgettable, every time.

I got the loveliest email the other day.
A client told me she'd had so many comments on her business cards, the thickness, that pop of colour running through the middle when you look at the edge, that people keep commenting on them at networking events. She said they've genuinely helped her make an impression.
And honestly? This is exactly why I geek out over print the way I do.
We're so used to everything being digital and disposable - swipe, scroll, forget - that when someone hands you something with real weight in your hand, you notice. You remember who gave it to you.
That's not an accident. That's a colour-core layer, chosen on purpose, that worked perfectly with her branding, printed properly, by people who know what they're doing.
Print is having a bit of a moment again, actually. People went all-in digital for a while, and now they're realising nothing replaces the feeling of a genuinely gorgeous, tactile piece of print in someone's hands.
If your business cards (or your packaging, or your stationery) aren't making people stop and go "ooh" - that's a fixable problem. And a fun one, if you ask me. There are lots of possibilities.
