🌈 Pride may end in June, but our commitment to LGBTQ+ safety never does. At Equation, we know that domestic abuse affects LGBTQ+ communities every day of the year — and meaningful allyship means showing up long after the celebrations end.
☎️ We continue to provide specialist, inclusive support; train professionals across Nottingham; and work alongside partners to build systems that truly protect LGBTQ+ survivors. This is ongoing work, and we’re proud to stand with our community all year round!
📢 You’ll find us at Nottingham Pride on the 25th of July, reaffirming our mission to uplift, empower, and advocate for LGBTQ+ people across the city. Pride is a moment — allyship is a commitment.

Behind every door, a different result. 🚪
While the world watches the World Cup, domestic abuse spikes — and LGBTQ+ people are not immune. In fact, they're often less likely to reach out for fear of not being believed, being outed, or not being properly supported.
Abuse has no boundaries. Not gender. Not sexuality. Not identity.
You deserve to be heard and supported — Equation offers specialist LGBTQ+ domestic abuse support in Nottinghamshire.

📢 There are still so many myths about abuse in LGBTQ+ relationships — and those myths can make it even harder for people to reach out for support.
At Equation, we want everyone to have access to clear, honest information. Domestic abuse can affect anyone, and LGBTQ+ survivors deserve to be seen, believed, and supported without judgement!🌈
05/06/2026
At Equation, we see every day how vital it is for LGBTQ+ survivors to feel safe, seen, and supported when reaching out for help.
That’s why Pride matters — not just in June, but all year round!
For professional services, Pride isn’t symbolic — it’s essential. It’s about delivering inclusive, trauma‑informed, and accessible support for everyone.
Pride strengthens our practice, and it strengthens pathways to safety and wellbeing for LGBTQ+ survivors. 🌈

Seen the awful news of a global “rape academy”? Here are some actions you can take to support survivors.
[content warning: sexual violence]
In the last couple of weeks, CNN released disturbing news of drug-facilitated sexual assaults that are being actively promoted in online spaces. Journalists exposed global online group chats that men use to help each other drug and sexually assault their partners in their own homes. One site had millions of monthly visits.
Here’s how you can take action to support survivors of sexual abuse.
1. Raise awareness and bust myths. Most sexual violence is not committed by strangers, but by someone that the victim knows.
2. Help survivors get support. Follow Nottinghamshire Sexual Violence Support Services so you can share information about helplines and find out about the signs of "spiking" on our website (link in comments).
3. Speak out. Join national campaigns to tackle misogyny in online spaces. Men can join the White Ribbon Campaign to speak out against men’s violence against women in all its forms.
