Mike Tipping builds precision scale models, presenting them in compelling, fascinating dioramas.
A beautifully crafted scale-model is something to admire and appreciate, but a scale model diorama captures a frozen moment in time. Mike's magnificent military machines are carefully constructed and meticulously detailed to bring them to life with accurately imitated patina, battle scars and signs of general wear and tear. Beautifully detailed human figures give the poignant stories of his dioramas a personal touch, adding to the sense that he has truly captured an event from the pages of history. Buildings and other structures are constructed from scratch, using appropriate materials, to add greater depth, realism and interest to his stories.
