What a wonderful week! It's been a busy time for the V team (but we wouldn’t have it any other way!)

📍 BioAmass Summit: Leah and Joss attended the BioAmass Summit yesterday at BioCity Nottingham, which focused on how we get Nottingham back on the map as a "science city".
📍 Boyds annual company offsite: Sue was with the Boyds global team this week for their annual company meeting at Ansty Hall in Warwickshire - two days dedicated to sharing ideas, strengthening connections and looking ahead together. From project updates and the launch of our bolder new brand proposition to interactive workshops, team-building and networking, the event was packed with energy and collaboration. The highlight was Sir Jonathan Van Tam’s thought-provoking and insightful talk on navigating uncertainty.
📍 Picker Experience Network Awards: As well as prepping, planning, creating content, and promoting the Awards ahead of the event, Rachel, Hilary and Paul also provided live coverage throughout the day, capturing photography and interviewing key attendees, finalists and winners. It was a day of joy, recognition and great celebration of excellence in the experience of care and we were delighted to support.

It’s always great to catch up with colleagues across the sectors we work with and to celebrate important milestones with our clients 🎉

Well done to Beckie for completing the Maggie's Centres 10-mile Edale Skyline walk and raising an amazing £372, smashing her £300 target! 👏

Beckie's walk was for Maggie's Nottingham, which is V Formation's Charity of the Year, and we've been supporting the centre by raising money and awareness, volunteering our time, attending Business Champions meetings with other local businesses, and getting involved in fundraising events.

Maggie's Centres offer practical and emotional support to people with any type of cancer, at any stage, for free. They focus on what really makes a difference, such as financial worries, housing, help managing stress and anxiety, and side effects of treatment, and they offer family support.

We’re delighted to be supporting Melbourne Festival this weekend 🎨

This year’s Art & Architecture Trail will bring 175 regional artists to 65 venues across Melbourne to celebrate all things art in the community.

Maggie's Nottingham is a serene haven for cancer patients, survivors and their loved ones. Nestled in the trees at Nottingham City Hospital, they provide specialist support for all of those who are affected by cancer, including mental health support, managing symptoms and side effects, and supporting with important decisions around work, finances, wills and insurance.

We’ve supported Maggie’s in a number of ways over the last 15 months, including:

🍻 Joss and Bella volunteered on Maggie’s stall at Nottingham’s B**r and C***r festival
🎄 Susie and Alex ushered for Maggie’s Christmas concert and handed out event programmes
🏆 We officially became Business Champions for Maggie’s in March
🧁 We hosted a Bake and Brew event with clients and friends, raising almost £300
🪴 Rach, Jo and Hilary spent the morning de-weeding and pruning Maggie’s glorious gardens
🚶🏽‍♀️ Beckie has raised just over £300 through her Edale walking event on 12th September
🎟️ Sue has attended two Business Champions events, networking with other businesses who support Maggie’s

We look forward to supporting Maggie’s even more over the coming months, helping them to raise awareness of their invaluable services 💛

Meet Beckie, our Senior Copywriter and walking champion 🚶‍♀️‍➡️

On 12 September, Beckie will be taking on the Maggie's 10-mile Edale Skyline route, starting and finishing in the village of Hope, right in the heart of the Peak District.

Beckie has already smashed her fundraising target, but if you're able to sponsor her, every donation will help Maggie's continue the incredible work they do supporting people living with cancer and those closest to them.

Happy anniversary to the amazing Literacy Volunteers, who have helped over 50,000 children discover the joy of reading 📖

Hilary, Paul, Bella and Jo headed to Nottingham's Trent Vineyard to help with the celebrations throughout the day. Between the team, we captured the key moments, helped run the ITV (!) interviews and AV, and cheered from the sidelines as they celebrated this incredible milestone.

We'd like to take this opportunity to thank Literacy Volunteers for having us support them in the run-up to, and throughout, the event ❤️
