A little story for you… 😉
Back in 2016 I suffered with a bulging disc for the first time, and I swear I had never felt pain like it… and never want to again! 😖
I literally couldn’t move or even lie down to sleep, so for 4 days I had to live on my living room floor in child’s pose because it was the only position I could find that was relatively pain-free. When I needed to get around the house, I was literally crawling! 😮💨
It was bloody scary.
On day 5 I finally managed to stand up and get myself to a physio, who recommended yoga once I’d started to heal.
So, when I was able to move again, I joined a local yoga class. One week, the teacher had a Yoga Trapeze in her house and let me have a go.
I tried my first ever inversion/traction pose — basically hanging upside down — and OMG… it felt AMAZING.
It was like I could instantly feel the pressure and tension leaving my spine. I honestly couldn’t believe how good it felt.
And that was it… I was hooked! 😂
I went home, started researching it, decided to just go for it and become qualified, and fast forward to now… I’m running Yoga Trapeze courses that sell out! 🥰
I can’t tell you how much I love it for my own back health, mobility and flexibility, especially with all the exercise I do and, let’s be honest, all the wear and tear that comes with the years! 😂
So now, whenever I feel a little niggle in my back, I’ll go and hang upside down like a bat 🦇 for a few minutes… and it feels SO good. 🙃
And I’m not the only one.
A lot of my class goers have their own stories of back issues, stiffness and injuries, and many have found Yoga Trapeze really helpful for their movement and how their bodies feel. And just like me, quite a few have become completely addicted to it! 😂
Plus… it’s good fun. 😃
After what happened with my back in 2016, I never want to experience that level of pain again. It genuinely scared me.
I plan on continuing to exercise, lift weights and keep moving well into my 90s 😉 — and Yoga Trapeze is now a big part of how I look after my body along the way. ❤️
If any of this sounds familiar and you fancy giving it a go yourself, I have availability for a taster session this Thursday 1st October 6pm to 7pm for 3 people
