Tweed Togs
Tweed Togs is a volunteer-led children’s clothing bank in the Scottish Borders, aiming to reduce clothing poverty. We have created a 50 /50 Club.
By sourcing excellent-quality preloved clothing, we provide a week's worth of clothing to every referred child. Over the past few years our team of volunteers has grown , and the support we have had from businesses and organisations has been fantastic!! This has allowed us to support hundreds of families throughout the Scottish Borders. Tweed Togs supplies good quality, donated children's clothing from birth to twelve years of age. These clothes are lovingly washed , ironed and put in gift bags. We can only accept referrals from Health Visitors, Social Workers , Headteachers and other Family Welfare Professionals. Tweed Togs have no direct link with the recipients. Our team of volunteers sort and prepare your wonderful donations at home and at our premises in Peebles. Peebles Business Hub

📚 A little something extra in every parcel… 💚
A huge thank you to the Reading Ambassadors at Priorsford Primary School for this wonderful donation of children’s books.
Our lovely volunteer Sandra collected and delivered them to the Tweed Togs unit, ready to be tucked into clothing parcels.
The clothes are the essential part of what we provide — but these little extras can make a parcel feel that bit more special. It’s something our referring agencies often comment on, and our volunteers absolutely love being able to add a book or small treat when we can. 📖✨
Thank you to everyone at Priorsford Primary who helped collect and choose the books, and to Sandra for getting them safely to us!! Another lovely example of our community supporting local children. 💕

🌈 A little burst of colour to brighten our week! 🌈
How gorgeous is this? 💕 This lovely outfit was recently donated through our Amazon Wishlist & went straight into a clothing parcel to brighten a wee person's day! A huge thank you to the kind supporter who sent it — donations like this really do make a difference 🌟
This week’s Tweed Togs wishlist is:
❄️ Boys’ all-in-one snowsuits
• 9–12 months
• 12–18 months
💗 Girls’ long-sleeved tops
• Age 11
With the colder weather on its way, those cosy snowsuits are particularly needed just now.
If you have any of these items in good-quality, ready-to-pass-on condition, we’d love to give them a new home. And if you’re sorting donations, popping them into a bag labelled with the age and gender is a huge help to our volunteers. 💚

🛍️ OUR AMAZON WISHLIST HAS BEEN UPDATED!
Preloved clothing donations are currently not keeping up with demand for girls aged 2 & 5, so we’ve added some much-needed items to our Amazon Wishlist. 💕
If you’d like to help fill the gaps, you can choose an item from our Wishlist and it will be sent directly to Tweed Togs — a simple way to help us keep our clothing parcels stocked.

💗 THURSDAY TOGS WISHLIST 💗
GIRLS’ CLOTHES NEEDED – AGE 2 & AGE 5! 🌸
A little Tweed Togs love from our donation board this week! 🥰. It’s always special to be reminded that the time, care & donations that go into Tweed Togs really do matter. 💕
And talking of donations… our shelves are looking very short of girls’ everyday clothes in ages 2 and 5, so this week we’re asking for:
👚 Short & long-sleeved tops
🩷 Hoodies & jumpers
👖 Leggings & jeans
👗 Skirts
🌸 Anything and everything for everyday wear!
For these ages, we usually put together five everyday outfits in each clothing parcel, so we need a good selection of clothes to choose from.
If you have a bag of good-quality, clean, ready-to-wear girls’ clothes that have been outgrown, we’d love to give them another life. 💗
And a little favour from our volunteers… 🥰 Bags labelled with the age and gender are hugely appreciated — it makes sorting donations so much easier !🥰

💚 A BIG THANK YOU TO THE PRELOVED NETWORK!💚
A slightly belated thank you to The Preloved Network for another wonderful donation of children’s clothing following their recent community event in Peebles.
We’re sorry we missed sharing the event beforehand — back-to-school has been back to bugs here! 🤒
The Preloved Network girls kindly keep an eye out for the key clothing items we’re currently short of and pass suitable clothing to us. This donation will make a real difference to our stock and, ultimately, to the children we support.
Thank you for helping to keep good-quality children’s clothes in the community & giving them a second life. ♻️🌎
🫶We really appreciate your continued support!🫶

💚🌟 A little reminder about the donations we can accept🌟💚
At Tweed Togs, we want every clothing parcel to make a child feel special, valued and cared for. While we love giving good-quality pre-loved clothing a new lease of life, we don't want children to receive clothes that feel like unwanted hand-me-downs.
We carefully select, launder, iron and pack every item, so please only donate clothing that is clean, in good condition and something you would be happy to pass on to another child.
Our volunteers are incredibly precious to us, and their time is our most valuable resource. Sorting through stained, damaged or unsuitable donations takes time that could instead be spent preparing beautiful parcels for children who need them. 🥰🌟🌟
If you’re not sure whether we can accept something, please check our simple guide below before donating. It really does help us make the best use of every donation – and every volunteer hour.
Thank you for helping us make sure our parcels feel like a gift, not a hand-me-down.🫶🙏
