I had a great time in East Neuk last night running a kicking class for the team there.

🦵We worked on drills to improve technique, strength and flexibility for kicking.

Great to see everyone engaged and receptive to my ramblings. Thanks so much to Sensei Steve Mackay and Sensei Kirsty McAlpine for the invite.

Well done to Imke for coming through from Cupar club to get some extra training in 💪🏻

With most people on holiday, I’m going to cancel tonight’s class.

Saturdays will run as normal right through the holidays but Thursdays will depend on numbers and instructor availability, taking it week at a time.

If you can let me know when you’ll be missing training during the holidays, that’ll be incredibly helpful in planning classes or deciding whether to run/cancel them.

Grading day was a tough one. Super proud of Amelia, after couple of knock backs in previous attempts, she dug deep, got right back to training, upped her game and today that was rewarded with promotion to 1st Dan Black Belt after an excellent performance.

Our black belts are not easy to get, the standard is really high but it means when you get it, you know it’ll stand up wherever you go. Always hard earned.

I’m so glad Amelia had the black belt attitude to keep pushing on, fixing what needed to be fixed and never giving up. She’s an asset to my club and so deserving of that black belt.
