Join us for a guided walking seminar exploring social and therapeutic horticulture at The Binks Hub.

When: Thursday 8th October at 1.30pm
Where: Greyfriars Charteris Centre, Edinburgh

This interactive outdoor session will bring together participants for a reflective walk around Holyrood Park. Led by Autumn Roesch-Marsh and Emma Martindale (Trellis Scotland), the seminar will consider how horticulture can support wellbeing, community connection, and therapeutic practice. Combining discussion, observation, and shared learning in a natural setting, participants will gain insight into the role of green spaces in health and social care, while engaging directly with the landscape around them.

Each of our bi-annual meetings will provide you with an update on the development of the UK Association for Social and Therapeutic Horticulture (ASTH) – the professional body representing therapeutic horticulture across the UK. Founded in 2021 by Trellis and joined by Thrive in 2023, the ASTH sets national standards for Social and Therapeutic Horticulture (STH) practice.
