🎾 Climate Week at Perth Tennis Club 🌍

As part of Climate Week, we’re looking at how we can all make small changes that help reduce our impact on the environment — both at Perth Tennis Club and in our everyday lives.

Our club is a place for sport, friendship and community, and we want to play our part in looking after the environment around us. 🌍💚

Here are a few simple ways our members can help:

♻️ Recycle right
Use the appropriate recycling bins where available and try to avoid putting recyclable items in general waste.

🥤 Bring a reusable bottle
Cut down on single-use plastic bottles by bringing your own reusable bottle to training, matches and social tennis.

☕ Reuse where you can
Bring a reusable coffee cup or use a club mug rather than reaching for disposable cups.

🚗 Think about how you travel
Where practical, walk, cycle, car-share or use public transport when travelling to the club. Sharing a lift to matches and training can also help reduce emissions.

🎾 Look after your kit
Repair and reuse tennis equipment where possible, donate unwanted kit and avoid replacing things simply because they’re not brand new.

💡 Switch it off
If you’re the last person leaving the clubhouse, check that lights aren’t being left on unnecessarily.

🗑️ Take responsibility for your waste
If there isn’t a suitable bin available, take your waste home rather than leaving it around the courts or clubhouse.

None of these changes on their own will solve climate change — but small actions from lots of people can add up.

So this Climate Week, let’s keep Perth Tennis Club a great place to play, socialise and look after our local environment. 💚🎾

🎾 What a Finals Day! 🏆

Despite the wet weather, we had a fantastic day at Perth Tennis Club, with plenty of competitive matches, great tennis and some brilliant performances across the board. 👏

A huge thank you to all of our competitors for making the day such a success, and to all the parents, families and supporters who braved the weather to come down and cheer everyone on. ☔️👏

It was fantastic to see the club buzzing throughout the day, and a fitting way to round off another great Club Championships. 💙🎾

Congratulations to all our finalists and champions — and thank you to everyone who took part! 🏆
