Ritual bathing.

Your body is around 60 to 70 percent water. The Earth is mostly water. So when you step into a bath with intention, you step into a conversation between waters.

People have known this for a very long time. The Ancient Egyptians bathed before ceremony to cleanse body and spirit. The Celts gathered at holy wells and healing springs to ask for what they needed and to give thanks. Bathing has always been a doorway.

Then came the researchers. If you have ever come across the work of Veda Austin, Dr Masaru Emoto or Viktor Schauberger, you will know exactly what we are speaking about. They explored how water holds memory, how it responds to sound, intention and movement, and how it carries and shapes life. This is scientific. This is ancient. Your soul remembers.

Peridot.

A stone of sunshine, joy and fresh beginnings. Its glowing olive to lime green comes from the iron held within it, and it only ever shows up in shades of green.

Our 24ct gold plated peridot hoops hold a small, raw cut peridot drop in a soft gold setting, swinging from a slim, light hoop. Each stone has its own organic shape and its own little glow, so no two pairs are exactly alike.

How it forms is astonishing. Peridot is born deep in the Earth's mantle, far beneath our feet, and travels up to the surface in volcanic magma, sometimes tucked inside chunks of rock thrown out by eruptions. Some peridot has even arrived from space, found inside meteorites that fell to Earth. In Hawaii the green stones found on the beaches are known as the tears of Pele, goddess of volcanoes. The Ancient Egyptians prized it as the gem of the sun.

What it brings:

Peridot is a heart chakra stone. It softens old hurts, lifts heavy moods and clears jealousy and resentment. It invites abundance, renewal and a lighter, brighter outlook, which makes it a gorgeous companion for new chapters.

We are back.

I have returned from my little break in Wales with a full heart and a head full of stories. The shop opens tomorrow, Saturday, from 10am until 4pm, and Sunday from 10am until 2pm, after which we have a private party booked.

While I was away, the shelves filled up with new treasures. There is beautiful new stock in jewellery, bathing rituals and books, and I cannot wait for you to see it all.

The one calling to me today is Lavender with Green Aventurine. Lavender soothes a busy mind, softens tension and invites deep, easy rest. Here is a little secret many people have never heard: the Ancient Egyptians treasured lavender, using it in sacred perfumes and in the preparation of their most honoured. A plant with that much history makes a beautiful companion for our bathing rituals too. Green Aventurine is a stone of the heart, bringing gentle healing, a little luck and an open, hopeful feeling. ‘Many have asked what do I personally do if I feel anxious, uncomfortable or feel unwell in any capacity. I apply exactly all the techniques that I share with you here on Facebook. They are truly reliable companions, as I thoroughly experiment on myself & they work wonders

To simplify
I softly close my eyes & my mouth & all other openings (energetically) this helps me to go inward
I invite long slow deep even breaths through the nose
I soften my brow the sockets of my eyes my jaw my tongue my neck & shoulders my diaphragm & my buttocks
I feel into the place of tension
I rest here a while quietly observing as the tension expresses itself & then begins to dissipate

If I am in too much pain or too distracted or it’s just not working out, I stop this & begin to stretch into my body, rotating the joints & stretching the muscles. I do this for a while & then go back to my original technique. This opens the body to receive, so it is more receptive & welcoming. Then we may engage at a deeper level. One may call it light language

P.s. this guy arrived to our Temple today, in physical form. I’ve been both smiling and in awe all afternoon.
He has the most incredible eyebrows. So much so, I felt like a newborn baby utterly transfixed on them and I had to keep remembering I am a grown woman in this reality and we must not grab eyebrows. Although… Jai embodies such unconditional Love that I know the next time I see him he will take utter delight in me sharing this with him and no doubt allow me the pleasure of tugging his magnificent brows.

All prepped and ready for tomorrow’s botanical scented candle making class! We have a couple of spaces remaining if you fancy joining us… 4-6pm, 2 hours of scent blending, candle making and pure relaxation in our sanctuary by the sea in Upton Country Park.

We are closed today as it’s my mama’s 70th! We’re off to celebrate the one who made all this magic possible by not only giving birth, but nurturing the magic and whimsy within me and my two little sisters, whom are herbalists and plant-whisperers.

We have unicorn and dragon potions on tomorrow at 10am and dragon eggs at 2:15, otherwise closed for a private birthday potion party and we resume shop and classes this Sunday.
