Earlier this year, client gardener Beth planted a selection of herbs specially chosen for making herbal teas. After months of tending, watering and watching them grow, they recently enjoyed a well-earned tea tasting session using their homegrown harvest. 🍵

It is that time of year again at here at Thrive, Birmingham! Our apple trees have been busy, and so have we, harvesting this season’s crop and learning how to turn it into delicious fresh apple juice.

Client gardeners, alongside a visiting college group, had the opportunity to get hands-on with the apple press, taking part in every stage of the process from preparing the fruit to pressing the juice. It was a fantastic way to learn new skills, work together and enjoy the fruits of everyone’s hard work.

Of course, the highlight of the day was tasting the freshly pressed apple juice, a well-earned reward and a wonderful celebration of the harvest season.

This week Thrive, Birmingham welcomed carers from Barefoot Yoga to our garden for an outdoor yoga session. They had a lovely practice outside with birdsong in the background. Afterwards, everyone got creative making mandalas from leaves, petals and twigs gathered from the garden, a peaceful way to end the visit.
