📣We are currently looking for Independent Social Workers based in the following areas to undertake adoption assessments:

▪ Milton Keynes
▪ Bedfordshire
▪ Peterborough

Caseloads are flexible and can be arranged to fit around other commitments. We can offer a competitive rate for each assignment.

You must be SWE registered and have at least three years’ post qualifying experience, preferably in adoption or fostering, and have solid assessment skills with experience in writing PARs or Form F assessments.

It is also important that you are willing to travel, and that you hold your own professional indemnity and public liability insurance.

PACT is rated outstanding by Ofsted and has been at the forefront of adoption services for over 60 years.

It’s a new term for our Bounce Back 4 Kids (BB4K) support groups.

These groups are designed to support children and families affected by domestic abuse. They use therapeutic techniques to help respond to the needs of families who need our support.💛

Children in our groups will be exploring topics such as self-esteem, feelings and worries. Parent groups run simultaneously and focus on the same topics as the childrens’ groups each week, enabling them to understand what their child is learning and reinforce this in the home environment.

They thoroughly enjoyed chatting to people all about adoption, answering questions about the process and offering advice.

It has been another amazing year for PACT and our community projects, Alana House and Bounce Back 4 Kids.

Across all three teams, staff have worked incredibly hard to support families, children and women and help them feel safe, rebuild relationships, and move forward with strength and hope. We are, as always, so proud of the dedication and commitment of our team.

We are honoured to be able to continue changing lives, and we could not do it without their efforts, as well as the encouragement of our supporters.

Our Bounce Back 4 Kids (BB4K) domestic abuse recovery programme is accepting referrals for:

BB4K uses therapeutic techniques to support children, aged 3-11, and their non abusive parent who have experienced domestic abuse.

Support is tailored to be responsive to the needs of families, but could include individual; support, groupwork, play therapy, other therapeutic sessions, access to wellbeing newsletters and a private Facebook group.🌿
