Today was the final goodbye to one of our most long-standing clients, Janet, who sadly lost her battle with cancer. 💔

For the last two weeks I’ve debated whether to post this, not wanting to intrude on the family’s grief. But Janet was never just a client to me and my mum. She was so much more than that.

She was there waiting for us with her coffee every single clean. She made us feel at home every single time we walked through her door. We laughed, we cried, and we did a lot of putting the world to rights. ❤️

I’ll always remember watching you bake cakes for your grandchildren, preparing Christmas dinner, and, of course, there was always her coffee and Baileys waiting for us. ☕️🥃

But especially over the last couple of years, and particularly last summer, you looked after me in ways you probably never realised. You kept me hydrated, fed me pizza whilst I cried and carried on cleaning, and showed me kindness when I needed it most.

For that, Janet, I will never, ever forget you or just how truly amazing you were. ❤️

I promise I will make sure we help Tony keep your home just the way you liked it. Your home was your pride and joy, and we will work hard to keep it that way, in your honour. 🏡❤️

Our client list may be small, and that’s exactly the way I like it. Our clients have become more like extended family to us, and Janet was truly one in a million.

You will be so very missed, Janet. Thank you for being you, for welcoming us into your home and for becoming such a special part of our lives.

Rest peacefully. ❤️

✨ A little reminder for all my lovely regular clients ✨

Firstly, I just want to say a massive thank you to every single one of you for your continued loyalty and support over the years. ❤️

I’ve been running Krease Lightning for over 20 years, and in all that time I have never imposed a cancellation policy. However, with the summer holidays in particular, I’ve had quite a few cleans and ironing appointments cancelled or changed at very short notice.

As you all know, I book your regular slots in advance and that time is reserved especially for you. When an appointment is cancelled at the last minute, it’s very difficult for me to fill that space, which ultimately means I lose that day’s income.

So, unfortunately, I now need to put a cancellation policy in place for both cleaning AND ironing appointments. 🧹🧺

◾️ Cancellations with less than 72 hours’ notice will be charged at 50% of the quoted price.

◾️ Cancellations within 48 hours of your appointment will be charged at 100% of the quoted price.

◾️ Rescheduling appointments will require 1–2 weeks’ notice, wherever possible, so I have enough time to rearrange my diary.

▪️ If a cancellation fee isn’t paid, unfortunately any future appointments will need to be cancelled.

I completely understand that sometimes things happen and cancellations are unavoidable ❤️ This isn’t something I have taken lightly, and after over 20 years of never having a policy like this, I really don’t want anyone to feel that way.

But please bear in mind that this is how I pay my bills 💵. When I lose a regular appointment at short notice, I don’t simply lose a booking — I lose the income from that time, and as a small self-employed business, I can’t afford to continually absorb those losses.

I hope all my lovely regular clients understand why I’ve had to introduce this. ❤️

We are back from our holidays, and i couldn’t wait to get my washer on and get my iron out 😝

Even managed to hoover grass, cut the dead grass and cases back in loft for another year !!!

We are back tomorrow , i would kindly like to ask all my clients to look back at your messages of when your next iron slots are as i am extremely busy making sure i can work through the back log ❤️❤️

What a week this week has been , doing our job in this heat is not for the weak !!!

This week alone we have completed
13 cleans total 38 hours cleaning
18 irons total of 70 hours ironing !!

I am sorry to the clients thats came home to witness my head in their freezer …

Lastly thank you to all our lovely clients that did their upmost to keep their homes cool 😎 for us and keeping us hydrated ❤️

After weeks of avoiding a very demanding client asking for a deep clean, I finally gave in and did it today… on my first day off in weeks 😅

I tried everything — ignoring the requests, saying I was too busy, convincing myself nobody could meet her standards anyway… especially as she expected it done for free. The cheek!

Eight hours later, after nonstop cleaning and even spending three hours de-weeding the drive with a blunt knife, I can barely walk — but I’m actually really happy with the results. Took plenty of photos to look back on, because let’s be honest, it’ll never stay looking like this for long 😂

And before anyone asks… the demanding client was me all along 😝

I can’t believe it’s been 20 years since Krease started!

Not a day goes by where I hate getting up for work — I still love it just as much as I did on my very first day.

Over the years, many customers have come and gone, but so many of you have stayed with us for nearly two decades. We’ve shared so many laughs, watched your children grow, and stood beside you through life’s ups and downs. We’ve celebrated milestones and supported each other through difficult times — just like family.

I am truly so thankful for each and every one of you, and I’m so excited to continue this journey for another 20 years!
