Join us tomorrow and every Tuesday at Mount Tabor for our drop in Social Cafe and Food Hub ....... we serve FREE teas and coffee from 10-12 and then again from 12.30-2.30pm.
From 12.30pm the community food Hub opens offering fresh fruit and vegetables and other items all for a minimum donation of just £1.

Ever since PXI began we have made sure our activities are FREE to those wanting and needing to access them - the charity is therefore entirely dependent on grants (mainly small grants from local trusts) and donations from those who do attend and from our supporters.
We, like so many other groups, are operating in an increasingly difficult climate with the constant search for grants and donations taking up more and more time from our volunteers.

Over the last month we've been collecting in local responses about the Parson Cross / Foxhill "Pride in Place" initiative. This afternoon Nick was joined by Paulene & Kate to talk to the PXI/SAVTE about the consultation and the next steps.

At this mornings Art for All session we continued to progress our "Art of Welcome" project. Today we made banners that explored our ideas around words, images and feelings of welcome

Another good day on the PXI Community Allotment - one compost bay cleared and riddled compost used as the start of our no dig bed prepped today, a second bed turned over ready for further work next week.

Great to see the return of our renewed and revitalised "Love rocks" garden outside Mount Tabor, keep a watch out over the next few weeks and months as it evolves further and becomes a part of out wider "Art of Welcome" project funded by the Sheffield Methodist District

REMINDER:
This Thursday (27th August) there is a byelection in Southey Ward, and Mount Tabor will used as a Poling Station for the day. Please note that all other activities that day will be cancelled.

Community Food Hub is open this afternoon at Tabor (12.30-2.00) for unlimited fresh vegetables plus six additional items (a minimum donation of £1 is appreciated)
