We're so pleased with the design of these new tri-fold menus, we just had to share them!

Our clients at Mean-Eyed Cat Bar needed to update their prices along with the cocktails and other drinks on offer, so they approached us to give the whole menu a freshen up.

We overhauled the colour scheme, adding in more graphic elements and gave the whole layout a good "grunging up" to complement their existing brand guidelines.

Three kids. 15, 14 and 10.

All growing far too quickly. All on the road to building their own lives.

Family is my number one driver. Always has been.

I've mostly enjoyed over twenty-five years of early mornings and long days but, once this trio arrived, it stopped being about the contracts. It was about what the contracts paid for.

Watching them becoming their own people now, that's the actual reward. I don't need to explain that to anyone with kids of their own.

I want to share a discussion I had with a client today.

"Have you ever used AI to build an entire website?"

The answer: no... we still create our web projects the "old fashioned" way... manually.

I took the opportunity to tell them about a recent client we had, who had used AI to build them a single-page website. The design looked nice but the information needed a bit of tweaking. It was then that they realised - they didn't know HTML or CSS and therefore couldn't amend anything. Moving forward, they also wouldn't be able to adjust their prices or add any new products!

We were therefore commissioned to rebuild the website... and help to secure the domain they wanted, the webspace they would need and setup their new email account! Most importantly though, with a little help and guidance from Pye Design, they COULD amend things themselves because we'd provided them with a drag and drop layout that was much simpler to use.

Yes, AI is the future and yes, it currently replaces a lot of menial business admin tasks - I've even attended seminars where AI gurus have built entire companies using only AI! However, you only get out what you put in and the end product needs to be functional and something you can use and adjust if you need to.

I turned 45 this week!

Still running my own graphic design and web development company... yep!

Still training in and teaching martial arts... yep!

Still singing in my band... yep!

Any plans to slow down... hell no!!

When I tell people my weekly life: juggling work, a marriage with 3 children and still making time for some awesome hobbies, it wears folk out just hearing about it. But I've been my own boss for almost 20 years and have built this super active lifestyle around the freedom and flexibility that brings.

Plus I'm scared that if I slow down, I'll suddenly start looking my age!

Throwback Thursday! With the weather as hot as it has been, we've been consuming every cold drink we can get our hands on, which makes us think of the milkshakes served at Gravity Active. These table-top posters were just one of our commissions last year.

Monday memories! We've recently been asked for some examples of our work which has forced us to delve into the archives. Here is an 8 page brochure we produced for the Raynham Estate in Norfolk last year. The brief was to match their existing brand and create a brochure for print and web use to promote the luxurious stays, events and dining options they have on offer.

Flashback Friday! We're often so busy creating these designs that we don't take the time to actually shout about them. So excuse us while we play catch up. Here is a colourful, strikingly eye-catching tri-fold DL menu that we created for our clients at Gravity MAX. It followed their carnival theme and features their full drinks and cocktails menu, along with food offers, snacks and sweet treats.

Another year, another conference, another wave of praise for our printed literature efforts. This year, for Surrogacy UK's we created this eye-catching 28 page magazine to celebrate all the positive stories and 550 babies born to date within their organisation! We also designed and printed the day's agenda, as well as signage and leaflets to distribute around the venue.
