| Introducing our new President, Robbie Scott

Marr Rugby is delighted to announce that Robbie Scott has taken on the role of President of the club.
Robbie has been part of the Marr Rugby family for more than 20 years, following a familiar path that began when his son Jack joined Marr Minis. From parent helper and youth coach, to social team and 3XV player, Fixture Secretary and Vice President, he has played an active role across many areas of the club and is now delighted to take on the role of President.
Throughout his time at Marr, Robbie has seen first-hand the positive impact that rugby and team sport can have on people’s lives. As President, he is keen to support the pathway from Minis through youth rugby and into the senior game, helping players to develop and reach the highest level possible while ensuring Marr remains a club where everyone can feel part of the community.

Alongside his extensive involvement with Marr, Robbie brings nearly 30 years of policing experience, serving communities across Scotland. He is looking forward to using the skills and experience gained throughout his career to continue serving and supporting the wider Marr family.

As President, his focus will be on continuing the excellent work carried out by outgoing President Tony Peters and working closely with the Chair, General Manager, Trustees, coaches, sponsors, volunteers and supporters to ensure Marr continues to grow as both a rugby club and a community hub for all.

Robbie takes over from Tony Peters, who has served two terms as President and has been a true linchpin of Marr Rugby throughout his time in the role.

Tony has dedicated an enormous amount of time and energy to the club, providing leadership, support and a constant commitment to the Marr community. His contribution has helped the club continue to develop both on and off the pitch, and we are incredibly grateful for everything he has done during his two terms as President.

Thankfully, Tony’s involvement with Marr doesn’t end here. He will continue his commitment to the club as a Trustee, allowing us to benefit from his experience, knowledge and continued dedication to Marr Rugby.

We would like to thank Tony for his outstanding service as President and look forward to welcoming Robbie into the role as Marr begins its next chapter.

Here’s to the next two years and to continuing to build a club that provides opportunities, community and a lifelong connection to rugby for generations to come 💜💛

This Weeks Fixtures 💜💛

Only Two sides in action this week and both unfortunately away 😢

The 2nds has been cancelled as Hawks can’t field a 2s side.

The 2A are away for their biggest trip of the season all the way to Dumfries.
