▪︎COLTS MATCH REPORT▪︎

Tough day at the office for Walsall Colts on Sunday. After a long journey to Ledbury, we lost 50 points to 0…however, this really only paints half the story.

After 20 mins we were losing, but very much in the game, certainly winning on territory. Then came 2 key injuries with both our tight head prop, and number 8 having to go off in the same passage of play. This meant uncontested scrums, and a complete rethink of positions, leading to many players having to play out of position! After this, things were difficult but the heart, passion and pride shown by all still on the pitch was immense.

Players of the Match:
Jenson our ho**er never gave up, and continued to show himself as a classy player, gaining players forward of the match.

The team was led by Calvin, receiving players back of the match, leading by example throughout.

The back row of Val, and Lewie epitomised this spirit, coaches choice for forwards of the match and Tandy got coaches back of the match, standing out defensively, as well as his usual attacking flair.

Strange to say after such a defeat, but the coaches couldn’t be prouder! Well done all! Looking forward to welcoming back a long list of injured players next week…hopefully!
