There's a lot of pressure in car culture to make things shiny. To chase the perfect paint, the clean bay, the show-standard finish. And that's fine, if that's your goal.

But if your goal is track time? This EG Civic is a masterclass in priorities.

Matt black, brush or roller applied. Layers of paint and overspray. Rust blooming through. Stickers from track days past telling a story. Door skins gone, wiring exposed, no attempt to hide the working bits. A bright yellow SW Motorsports cage standing out against the dark. A worn OMP wheel. TRS-E seats and harnesses. B18C power with a simple intake and exhaust.

Enkei RPF1s and Nankang AR1s. Grip over gloss.

This car looks like it's fresh from Mobara Twin. Rough around the edges, but built properly. Every modification is considered. Every choice is about going faster, not looking prettier. That authenticity makes it cooler than most show cars.

We know track day prep. Our competition heritage helps us cut through what works, what you need, and how to get the best from your car on track, whatever your budget. Tyres, suspension, racewear. We've got you covered.

Going turbo? Don't forget the clutch.

It's the most overlooked part of a turbo conversion. You've sorted the manifold, the intercooler, the ECU, the injectors. But that stock clutch? It's still sitting there, quietly counting down the miles until it gives up.

Take an MX5. It leaves the factory with around 90bhp. The stock clutch is perfectly matched to that. Now you've bolted a turbo on and you're chasing 250bhp. That tired old unit is now a ticking time bomb, waiting for the worst possible moment to let go.

If the gearbox is off and you're replacing the clutch anyway, it makes perfect sense to do the whole system properly. Match it with a lightweight performance flywheel and an uprated pressure plate. The flywheel transforms how the engine responds, sharper revs, faster downshifts, more connection. The uprated friction plate is the insurance that keeps all your other mods doing their job, putting that new-found power down without drama.

Helix have exceptional customer support and a solution for almost any application. So hit us up and let's make your build a reality.

Ready to step up your track game? We've got three road-legal track tyres that punch well above their price point.

Toyo R888R is the established choice. Chunky square profile, big blocky tread, and a proven record from club racing to Ken Block's Pikes Peak runs . It warms up fast, stays predictable, and works well for drivers building confidence.

Davanti Protoura Race is the newcomer. Owners consistently praise its progressive breakaway and track handling, with many finding it quieter and more comfortable than aggressive alternatives . It's already a control tyre for Mini Challenge Clubsport and the Suzuki Swift Challenge.

Nankang AR1 is the dry-weather weapon. Slick-looking, huge grip, and a favourite in competition circles . If you're chasing lap times in the dry, this is the one.

Three tyres. Three characters. All road legal. All available from us.

If you're chasing lap times, the BC Racing HM series is where the investment starts to pay off.

Michael, the main tech and development lead at BC UK, knows these dampers inside out. And the HM is the one for drivers who've moved beyond fast road and into dedicated track territory.

External reservoirs for increased oil capacity and better heat management. 30 clicks of separate rebound and compression adjustment. Inverted damper design, which reduces unsprung weight, improves heat dissipation, and adds strength where it matters. Adjustable bottom mounts for ride height. Pillowball top mounts for sharper response.

This is the kit for time attack, competition work, or anyone who's serious about consistent lap times. BC has become a hugely popular brand for good reason. The performance-to-price ratio is exceptional.

If you've got a fun car or a project that's not currently on axle stands, you'll know the pain of a flat battery. Especially through winter when it barely moves.

The CTEK CS1 Gen 2 is the answer. It's a smart charger and conditioner that does all the thinking for you. Connect it up, walk away, and it handles the rest. It can even recover and recondition deeply discharged batteries you'd assumed were destined for the bin.

The clever bit? It connects to your home Wi-Fi, so you can keep an eye on your battery's health from anywhere in the world. Real-time updates, charge history, alerts. All through the CTEK app.

We're all advocates of CTEK conditioners here at Demon Tweeks. We use them ourselves, on our own cars. And it means when spring arrives and the salt has washed away, your pride and joy is ready to go. First turn of the key, on the button. No jumping, no drama.

With winter on the horizon, now's the time to tuck your car away properly. A decent battery isn't cheap, and looking after it is a worthwhile investment.

Some cars just demand your attention. This E36 was one of them.

We were supporting trackside at a recent MSVT track day when this Alpine White E36 started putting in lap after lap of seriously committed driving. The balance through the corners, the way the driver was dancing it right on the edge of grip... it was the kind of pace that makes you stop and watch.

If you know Demon Tweeks, you know we have a soft spot for fast BMWs. We campaigned an E30 M3 in the British Touring Car Championship back in the day, and that car is still with us, still being driven in anger.

The E36 has a similar tuning pedigree. The 325i and 328i Sport were legends in their own right, offering that silky 24v straight-six experience for a fraction of M3 money. But the M3 was the poster child. It was a brute compared to the E30 M3 before it, packing a 3.2-litre S50B32 with Double VANOS and 321bhp.

But could that formula be improved? Enter the S54 from the E46 M3. It's a different animal altogether, revving to 8,000rpm and producing 343bhp naturally aspirated. It's become the holy grail swap for E36 purists.

This car? S54 swapped. A big Geoff Steel carbon airbox feeding that screaming straight-six. A fully caged interior that still retains a surprising amount of civility. Recaro Pole Positions holding the driver in place. Sparco 323 steering wheel. And the exterior details are perfect. The full M3 kit, the subtle front splitter, and that M3 GT wing on risers sitting high above the boot.

The wheels are the finishing touch. 17x9 BBS E87 motorsport splits with gold centres, wrapped in Dunlop Direzza DZ03Gs. A proper meaty fitment that gives the E36 a purposeful, planted stance.

Is E36 + S54 + E87 the ultimate formula? We think so.

At Demon Tweeks, we're well-versed in race car preparation. Whether you're building a dedicated track car or dialling in a fast road machine, we have the parts and the expertise to help you become a proper track animal just like this awesome E36.

Rotrex. It's a supercharger that behaves like a turbo, and a turbo that delivers like a supercharger.

A centrifugal supercharger with a turbine-style compressor housing, driven by a belt. The result is instant, linear power with none of the lag. The secret is Rotrex's patented planetary traction drive, which spins the impeller up to 120,000rpm using rolling friction instead of gears. No metal-to-metal contact, no vibration, and a noise that's more jet-spool than old-school blower whine .

They're compact. They're quiet. And they're available in a huge range of sizes, from the C15 for smaller engines right up to the C38R for 6000cc and beyond . There are even vehicle-specific kits developed to work with stock internals, delivering reliable power gains without touching a thing inside the engine .

And if you're going all-in on a build? A Rotrex is the cherry on top.

Up to 50% off Vogtland lowering springs. If you've been thinking about lowering your car but don't want to break the bank, this is your moment.

Vogtland Sport Springs lower your centre of gravity, sharpen up the handling, and give your car that aggressive stance without turning it into a bone-shaker. Designed to work with your standard shocks, they drop the ride height while maintaining a surprisingly comfortable ride for daily driving. The compound spring rates keep things civilised on the motorway but firm up when you push it through the bends.

All Vogtland springs are developed, tested, and cold-coiled in Germany from high-tensile chrome-silicon steel. Each set is vehicle-specific, with TÜV certification for road safety. It's the sort of quality you'd expect from a brand that's been making springs since 1908.

A more planted stance, a sportier feel, and up to 50% off. Head to the website to check fitment for your car.

You wouldn't want to be in Misha Charoudin's way when he's on a hot lap.

The Nürburgring is one of the most demanding circuits on the planet. 20 kilometres. 170 corners. And a whole lot of traffic coming up behind you faster than you can react.

That's where the Garmin Catalyst R1 comes in. A rear-mounted racing radar that detects approaching vehicles up to 197 feet behind you. Heads-up indicator lights in your line of sight tell you if someone's closing on your left, your right, or directly behind - no need to take your eyes off the track ahead.

It's built for the abuse. IP67-rated, wired 12V power, and designed to handle heat, vibration, and everything else a race car throws at it.

Keep your focus where it matters. Let the radar watch your mirrors.

Hey you beautiful people 👋

We just want to say a heartfelt thank you to everyone who came to the last Demon Tweeks Supercharged Cars & Coffee of the season.

We’re always blown away by the variety of metal on display, the enthusiasm from everyone involved, and the cool atmosphere you all contribute to. We genuinely love getting to see the full spectrum of car culture laid out for a morning – it feeds our imaginations and opens our eyes to just how broad this scene really is.

There aren’t many places you’ll find a quarter-mile-ready Capri drag car, a Mini Moke, a K20-powered 205 CTI, every generation of ‘90s four-door Skyline, HKS-liveried Japanese halo cars, American hot rods, and Italian supercars – all in one car park. And that’s only scratching the surface!

We had project reveals from YouTuber Ben at Tasty Classics with his freshly restored Toyota Sera. A big thank you to Pipercross and Michelin for their support on the day, sharing their first-hand knowledge and expertise with everyone.

To sum up? It was a good time. Roll on the next one in spring.

Sorry we didn’t get to talk to everyone – but it’s always nice to catch up with familiar faces and loyal customers.

Thank you for making it what it is. See you next season 🚗☕
