What the Youth Told Me Broke My Heart

Today, I visited Ghetto to spend time with the people and hear their stories. Many of the young people told me they are unemployed and struggling to survive. They explained that since the sea was closed, many fishermen have lost their source of income, making it difficult for families to buy food and meet their daily needs.

One statement that stood out to me was when some of the youth said, “If we get jobs, we will stop smoking weed.” They believe that having employment and opportunities would help them change their lives for the better.
