Inside Spaceman
A Greek-based theater and art company creating original, touring -ready performance work and workshops for global partners.

At the beginning of July, Maro Lesioti created and facilitated Filtaton: Ancient Greek Theatre Techniques in Improvisation at the Tolfama Improvisational Theater Festival in Tolfa, Italy.
The workshop explored how elements of Ancient Greek theatre can inspire contemporary conceptualised in-the-moment performances. Through movement, rhythm, chorus work, archetypes, repetition, and collective storytelling, participants discovered how ancient theatrical principles can become tools for creating live performance in the present.
The work approached improvisation not simply as spontaneous play, but as a detailed and embodied artistic practice, one that is composed collectively, moment by moment.
Thank you to Tolfama for hosting this encounter between the theatrical past and the possibilities of live creation today.

Eagerly Waiting by Coffee & Ci******es Collective - Maro Lesioti and Gabriel Caropreso - is continuing its European journey and now moves into the festival circuit of improvisational theatre.
After the European tour in March–April 2026, the show will be presented at IRREVERENTE – Festival Internacional de Improviso de Lisboa on 25 July.
The piece reflects improv as conceptualised in-the-moment performance: live creation shaped by presence, listening, composition, and the energy of the room. With every new audience and every new context, the work keeps shifting, deepening, and finding new forms.
We’re thrilled to see this journey continue in Lisbon.

From 9–13 June, Maro conducted an improvisation intensive in Ankara in collaboration with Karga Tiyatro Akademi.
The workshop moved through a shadowy, suspenseful world of hidden motives and unfolding clues — a space inspired by mystery, investigation, and shifting relationships. Rather than treating improv as something casual or purely spontaneous, we approached it as a form of live creation shaped by attention, structure, and shared artistic intelligence.
It was an exciting and inspiring week of play, discovery, and performance-making.

Inside Spaceman is growing! 🌱
We’re officially expanding into a new field: improvisation as a tool and as an art form.
Through our collaboration with ImproSynthesis and Maro Lesioti, we’re bringing improvisation into the heart of our work — exploring it as a method for collaboration, creativity, and connection.
On 11 June 2026, during International Day of Play, we joined an online improv workshop with the World Food Programme (WFP) Nigeria, together with and , and educators from all over the world.
It was a powerful experience that showed us how improvisation can open space for play, resilience, and shared creation — and it’s just the beginning of this new chapter for Inside Spaceman.

Echokinetic - Performance Demonstration
On 9 June 2026, Echokinetic will be presented at La Tricoterie, Rue Théodore Verhaegen 158, 1060 Bruxelles, Belgium, as part of the Creative FLIP Final Conference.
Echokinetic is a dystopian audiovisual performance in which AI becomes a new kind of deity and human artists act as its oracles. Through this work, we explore a central challenge in interdisciplinary AI co-creation: not the generation of ideas, but the time and physical co-presence needed to channel an abundance of them into coherent shared work.
The piece reframes AI as a third collaborator with its own voice rather than a tool or a threat, while artistic authorship shifts from imposing meaning toward stewardship.
Duration: 20 minutes
Language: English
Admission: Free entrance, registration required

Artificial Intelligence & Art - Workshop
How do we make meaning with AI? Is artificial intelligence a hero, a fraud, or something in between?
In this two-hour hands-on workshop, we set aside binary thinking and explore the space where colors live. Through examples of AI-generated art, embodied inquiry through the YO method, and collective meaning-making, we’ll examine what it truly means to create alongside a machine. Together, we’ll ask whether AI is, can be, or should be ethical and whether it can function as a third collaborator with its own voice rather than just a tool or a threat.
No prior expertise is required.
