Page of artist Katerina Papazissi. News and stuff. Katerina Papazissi is an artist based in Athens, Greece. She has presented two solo exhibitions in Athens .

Her studio practice is rooted in painting, and meanders to three dimensions through sculpture and installation. She studied Social Psychology (BSc) and Media (MSc) in the London School of Economics, Design Studies (MA) in Central Saint Martin's College, London, and Painting (BA, Integrated MA) in the Athens School of Fine Arts. Her training in dance and other somatic practices has played an important role in the development of her practice. Her third solo exhibition ‘But today it is different’ will take place in October 2022, in the Athens Municipality Cultural Centre. Recent group exhibitions include 'Versions of the Garden', Symptoms projects, Amfissa in 2018, ‘New Acquisitions, Averoff Gallery, Metsovo, 2021. She has curated group projects in her house prior to be demolished (Plastira 16, Disposable Gallery, 2006 ), a project that represented Greece in the Biennale of Young artists, 2008, and in her studio, KP studio (Domestic Matter, 2017).

My August is green

So happy to be part of the wonderful exhibition Birds of Passage, curated by Isavella Kladaki at her amazing house in Santorini. I am participating with one of my favorite paintings from this year :Three figures in a landscape. Oil on linen, 35x45 cm.
I will be in good company alongside other wonderful painters, old and new friends, The exhibition opens tonight and I wish I was there! ,

The exhibition Elongated Acts runs until the 31st of May. Curated by it explores the condition of the as encounter, springboard, depository, temporary or permanent shelter. My work, Rhymes, 2026 is an revealing relationships between images and objects, that I have found or made myself. It uncovers aspects of what goes into my , my inspirations, doubts, thoughts about what’s going on around me and connects the personal with wider political and social realities. .
