Bonso

From Athens' vibrant graffiti scene to the heart of its electronic underground, Bonso's artistic journey is a testament to his enduring passion for creative expression. Music has always been a driving force, leading him to explore a diverse soundscape – hip hop, funk, dub, jazz – before finding his true calling in the pulsating world of electronic music. Bonso's DJ career began in the early 2000s, taking root in local bars and private events. His design engineering background provided a unique perspective, allowing him to refine his musical identity. This identity is built on the foundation of stripped-down house and techno, but with a fearless spirit that ventures beyond genre boundaries. For a decade, Bonso was an integral part of the revered "Gus & Bonso" project, crafting unforgettable dancefloor experiences through back-to-back DJ sets. Since 2017, he's carved a distinct path as a solo artist, becoming a mainstay in Athens' underground scene, particularly at the legendary Six D.O.G.S. Here, he's shared the stage with renowned artists like Rhadoo, Petre Inspirescu, and Matthew Johnson, further solidifying his reputation. His love for music transcends the digital realm, leading him to establish "Cuts on Wax," his own vinyl cutting and mastering studio. When he's not captivating crowds, you might find him meticulously crafting vinyl records, ensuring the music he loves continues to find new life.
