Our Destination Strategy Project Manager, Steve Law, will present at CNP UK 2026 in Bradford on Thursday 24 September.
His session, Designing the Night: Learning from the Cities Behind the Night-Time Economy Movement, will set out why the night is part of every place brand, yet few cities manage it as one. Drawing on benchmarking across UK and European cities, Steve will cover the five ways night-time coordinator roles break, the three governance models available to cities and the exposures each carries, and why designing your night-time model must come before advertising the role.
Steve will then be joined for a fireside conversation, Edinburgh after dark, by Elin Williamson, Service Director for Culture, Wellbeing and Economy at City of Edinburgh Council, on the city's decision to create a permanent, Visitor Levy-funded Night-Time Economy Coordinator with women's safety at the core of the remit.
Steve will also be hosting a roundtable during the conference.
