And honestly… I can see why. 😍

🇬🇷 Greece considers sending rejected asylum seekers out of the country

Greece, together with Germany, Austria, Denmark and the Netherlands, is working on a plan to send some rejected asylum seekers to a country outside the EU.

The idea is for people whose asylum applications have been rejected, but who cannot currently be sent back to their own countries, to be transferred to a partner country outside the EU.

The five countries hope to agree on a partner country during 2026, with the first transfers possibly taking place in 2027.

The country has not been officially announced yet. Uganda has been mentioned as one possibility.
