Truly amazing decision

We are pleased to recognize Ruth G. Astley as one of the 100 Global Filipino Entrepreneurs, honoring a journey shaped by resilience, reinvention, financial empowerment, and a deep commitment to helping fellow Filipinos build more secure futures.

Born in Capalonga, Camarines Norte, Ruth grew up as the eldest of three daughters in a family of educators. A nurse by profession and a UK-trained makeup artist, she moved to Qatar in 2011 as a dental nurse, seeking new opportunities and a chance to rebuild her life.

Her entrepreneurial journey was shaped by a difficult financial setback that became a turning point. After losing her savings to a financial scam, Ruth recognized the importance of financial knowledge and began rebuilding with a stronger sense of purpose. In 2018, she was introduced to International Marketing Group, where she became a CEO and Marketing Director and an advocate for financial literacy, supporting its mission to help 30 million Filipinos become financially literate by 2030.

Today, Ruth’s entrepreneurial portfolio includes her role as co-owner of Deqada Restaurant, a Filipino dining concept created with family and friends, and co-owner of Maison de Beauté Salon with her daughter Rita and family. She also founded the Artè Budget Wallet Envelope System, a practical approach to disciplined money management.

Beyond business, Ruth focuses on empowering OFWs, women, and families to move from spending toward saving, investing, and planning for the future. She also creates opportunities for fellow Filipinos through her businesses and remains actively connected to the Filipino community in Qatar.

For Ruth, entrepreneurship is more than income or ownership. It is about impact, sustainability, legacy, and creating opportunities for others. Her philosophy, “You are your own rescue,” reflects the perspective that has guided her journey from adversity to purpose.

Ruth G. Astley is recognized for transforming a painful chapter into a mission of financial empowerment and service. Her story reflects the resilience of a Filipina who chose to rise, rebuild, and use her journey to help others create a more purposeful future.

1998 was the birth of IMG in the Philippines and was registered in the SEC in 2002.

Who really is IMG?
Historically, IMG system starts in America and Canada way back 1977. It is aligned with a world financial organization called World Financial Group (WFG).

Since 1977, it adopted a system called "System Builder" - a book which contains a proven system used not only by the WFG and IMG community but also of other leading financial institutions in the world!

IMG is not an investment company. You don't invest in IMG. It is focused on Financial Literacy.

• It's a brokerage organization of leading companies in the Financial Industry.

• A school for Financial Literacy -- under a life-long learning program with free financial coaching for life.

• A global community of Savers, Investors, Entrepreneurs, Financial Educators and Campaigners.

It offers Total Financial Solution. Meaning you learn from them not only on investing and saving but in all other aspects of personal and family financial management including financial planning.

As a school for Financial Literacy. You are encourage to learn first before saving and investing. And because financial and investment companies are aligned with them, you can already practice what you have learned as a One-Stop-Shop in the Financial Industry.
One great thing about IMG when you invest is -- that you are developed to become your own money manager.

In other words, you are given direct access to the companies aligned with them without passing through a broker or an agent -- thereby maximizing the use of your money when saving and investing.

Through IMG also, you have the right to participate in its business as Associate Broker (optional) and it's assisted in building your own organization in the Financial Industry.

Agree

Here are 3 signs
na bobo ang isang breadwinner.

And before anything else,
this is not about intelligence.

This is about specific decisions
that quietly keep a hardworking person
stuck in the same place year after year.

1. Tinutulungan niya lahat
except yung sarili nila.

Every request from family:
andun siya.

Every emergency:
andun siya.

Every financial need of everyone around him:
andun siya.

But their own financial future?

Wala siyang oras para dun.
Kasi laging may mas urgent.

The result?

Years of giving, and nothing built for himself.

2. Inaangat niya yung pera ng iba
pero hindi niya ina-angat yung sarili niya.

He works hard to provide.

But he never invested
in a skill that earns outside his salary.

Never built a second income.
Never put anything into something
that grows while he's not working.

So kapag tumigil siya,
tumigil din lahat.

3. Naghihintay siya ng tamang panahon para magsimula.

"Kapag bayad na ang utang."
"Kapag malaki na ang ipon."
"Kapag mas stable na."

But the right time
never arrives for the person
who keeps waiting for it.

Here's the truth.

yung pinakamahalaga,

ang sarili niyang kinabukasan. 😌

Kung nagkaroon ng unexpected emergency,
may matitira pa ba sayo?

Take a moment with that question.

Because most people
already know the honest answer,

they just don't say it out loud.

And we can't blame them.

Kasi hindi ito dahil sa katamaran.
Hindi ito dahil sa kakulangan ng effort.

Nagtatrabaho ka nang husto.
Nagtatrabaho ka nang tapat.

Pero yung sistema na pinasukan mo,
it wasn't designed for you to have extra funds.

Dinesign siya para palagi kang bumabalik,
kasi kailangan mo.

Every month, kumikita ka.
Bills. Utang. Pang-araw-araw.

That's not weakness.

That's the natural result
of carrying everyone
with nothing left to carry yourself.

Here's what I've observed.

The people who eventually stopped
living one emergency away from zero,

hindi sila nagkaroon ng mas malaking sweldo.

They made one decision...

to stop leaving their financial security
entirely in the hands
of a single income source
they don't control.

And they started building something,
kahit maliit,
kahit hindi pa sigurado,

yung kikita ng pera
para sa kanila
habang nagtatrabaho sa iba.

Here's the truth.

You deserve more than just surviving
from one paycheck to the next.

You deserve to know
that if something unexpected happens tomorrow,

"Bahala na si Lord" is not faith.

And I say that with full respect
to everyone who grew up with that phrase.

Kasi gets ko kung saan galing yun.

There is real comfort in surrender.
There is real peace in trusting God
with things outside your control.

But somewhere along the way,
yung surrender became an excuse
to not move.

Look at every person in the Bible
that God used for something significant.

and wait for the flood to pass.

He built an ark.

at the edge of the Red Sea.

He raised his staff and moved.

when he faced Goliath.

He picked up the stones.

Every single one of them moved first.

And God showed up in the middle
of their movement,

it's not faith

Here's the truth.

Real faith is not passive.

It's moving forward
with the full belief
that you are not doing it alone,

habang ginagawa mo yung part
na nasa kamay mo. 🙏
