Did you hear about TZoumerka Film Festival? 🏔

💥 x TZoumerka Film Festival
/ 1st Tzoumerka Film Festival | 24-26 Sept 2026 💥

[for 🇬🇧 scroll down]

--

24/9, 21:00, at Mountain Refuge Melissourgoi, Tzoumerka

Positively Different Short Film Festival is still on the road, and this week we make a stop at the newly born Tzoumerka Film Festival – a three-day event full of screenings, live performances and DJ sets.

A screening that brings four PDSFF awarded films together. Shot at the countryside, from across different corners of the globe, they follow characters who, despite their vastly different lives, they meet on a common ground: care, for humans, nature and the world around them.

See you at the mountain peak!⛰️

Become a YouthPowerEU Ambassador!

You can vote at 18. But in Greece and Italy, you have to wait until 25 to stand as a candidate in European Parliament elections.

YouthPowerEU wants to challenge this democratic gap and we want young people to be at the centre of the process.

We are looking for 16 young people from Greece and Italy, aged 18–24, to become YouthPowerEU Ambassadors and join a journey of learning, exchange and action.

As an Ambassador, you will have the opportunity to:
- learn about advocacy, EU institutions, policy-making and democratic participation
- develop practical skills in communication, policy analysis and advocacy
- connect and exchange ideas with other young people
- co-create proposals to strengthen youth political representation
- engage with civil society, MEPs, policymakers and other stakeholders
- bring what you learn back to your community and engage other young people

One City, Many Stories: What’s Your Connection with Athens?

🗓️Wednesday, 9 September 2026 | 18:00
📍 2nd Floor Community Space

How does it feel to be in a new city, in a new place? And how differently do we experience the same city?

For the third year, Inter Alia and College Year in Athens (College Year in Athens) bring together CYA students and people living in Athens to explore their different experiences of the city through art, conversation and collective creation.

This year, we will create one city together.

Working on a large shared piece of paper, newcomers and locals will be invited to bring their own experiences of Athens into a collective artwork. Using different materials, images, words, colours and shapes, participants will gradually build a city that reflects the many different ways Athens can be seen, experienced and imagined.

For some, Athens is a completely new place. For others, it is home. And for many of us, our relationship with the city is constantly changing.

What makes us feel that we belong to a place? What makes a city feel unfamiliar? Which parts of Athens feel welcoming, exciting, frustrating or inaccessible? What would we change about the city, and what would we want to preserve?

No artistic experience is needed. Come with your experiences, observations and ideas, and help us build our version of Athens together.

This is not a typical “discover the city” workshop. It is a space to question, exchange and create.

Working language: English
Participation: Free of charge
Registration: Required – limited spots available

The workshop is co-organised by Inter Alia and College Year in Athens.

👉Last week in Athens, municipalities, civil society organisations, researchers and collectives came together to discuss the local impact of the EU Pact on Migration and Asylum.

The discussions highlighted a shared message: implementation matters, and local actors will play a key role in shaping what comes next.

Now, the conversation continues online.

❓How will the New Pact affect our communities?
❓What new challenges will people seeking protection face?
❓How can cities promote inclusive governance?
