📺 GDPrApp on ERT3!

The European project GDPrApp – Teaching GDPR to students through a serious game was featured on ERT3’s “Perimetros”, highlighting an interactive approach to learning about privacy and personal data protection.

Prof. Christos Kalloniatis, Director of the PrivaSI Lab and Scientific Coordinator of the project for the University of the Aegean, presented the GDPrApp serious game and discussed how the project supports students, parents, and educators in better understanding the principles of the GDPR through interactive learning.

🎓 GDPrApp Multiplier Event Successfully Completed!

The GDPrApp Project Results Multiplier Event was successfully held on 25 September 2026 at the University of the Aegean in Mytilene, bringing together members of the educational and academic community to explore the results of the Erasmus+ project “GDPrApp: Teaching GDPR to Students through a Serious Game.”

The event opened with a welcome by Professor Christos Kalloniatis, Director of PrivaSI Lab and Scientific Coordinator of the project at the University of the Aegean, Professor Evangelia Kavakli, Head of the Department of Cultural Technology and Communication, and Aimilianos Evangelinos, Regional Education Quality Supervisor, North Aegean. The programme continued with presentations of the project’s key results across its different work packages.

🔹 Dr Katerina Mavroeidi presented the results of WP2 on research and information exchange.
🔹 Dr Panagiotis Psomos presented the WP3 MOOC guide developed for teachers and parents.
🔹 Roula Argiriou presented the results of WP4 on idea development.
🔹 Aggelos Omeri presented WP5, focusing on the design, development and evaluation of the GDPrApp serious game.

🎮 A hands-on workshop also gave participants the opportunity to try the GDPrApp serious game themselves, experiencing how the project uses interactive learning to approach GDPR, privacy and personal data protection.

The event concluded with an open discussion and exchange of views, creating space for dialogue around the project results and the importance of strengthening privacy and data protection awareness through education.

🎮 Το GDPrApp αξιοποιεί ένα εκπαιδευτικό ψηφιακό παιχνίδι (serious game), διαδικτυακά μαθήματα (MOOC) και οδηγούς επιμόρφωσης, με στόχο την καλύτερη κατανόηση των αρχών του GDPR από μαθητές, γονείς και εκπαιδευτικούς και την προώθηση της ασφαλούς και υπεύθυνης χρήσης των ψηφιακών τεχνολογιών.

Κατά τη διάρκεια της εκδήλωσης θα παρουσιαστούν τα βασικά αποτελέσματα και τα εκπαιδευτικά εργαλεία του έργου, ενώ θα ακολουθήσει ανοιχτή συζήτηση και ανταλλαγή απόψεων με τους συμμετέχοντες.
