Twenty primary school teachers successfully completed a five-day training in TV and Radio Script Writing, facilitated by Seeta Shah Roath. The workshop equipped participants with practical skills to develop engaging educational content for broadcast media, enhancing communication and learning opportunities for young audiences.

Since Easter fell earlier on the calendar than usual, pupils wrote their exams after the Easter break instead of before. This shifted our usual schedule back a few weeks, but our teams have been working around the clock to get these results to you!

The Distance Education Unit, Ministry of Education, was pleased to participate in a Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) Training session facilitated by the Ethnic Relations Commission (ERC).
The training provided our staff with valuable insights into the principles of diversity, equity and inclusion, underscoring the importance of fostering a respectful, supportive and productive work environment. Participants also gained a deeper understanding of the ERCβs constitutional mandate and its role in promoting harmony, understanding, acceptance and tolerance among all ethnic groups in Guyana.
As an organization committed to serving diverse learners across the country, the Distance Education Unit recognizes the importance of embracing inclusive practices that strengthen collaboration, mutual respect and equitable access to education.
We extend our sincere thanks to the Ethnic Relations Commission for this enriching engagement and for its continued efforts to promote inclusivity and national unity.
