The Location:
We are conveniently and centrally located in the heart of Kitty with access to public transportation and taxi services. There is also plenty of parking for parents who wish to drop off and pick-up their children. The Facility:
Our State-of-the-art facility offers the following:
1. Air conditioned rooms.
2. Clean and comfortable furniture (with individual chairs)
3. Projector and whiteboard for interactive lessons.
4. Internet/WiFi access.
5. Waiting area for parents and students.
6. Secure environment with safe waiting areas for children and parents. The Tutors:
All of our tutors are certified and have years of practical experience in preparing students for CXC. Valarie GoorasammySmith is the head of staff and brings over 40 years of teaching experience, inclusive of primary, secondary and university levels. She has represented Guyana in a number of debating competitions and other prestigious events globally. Her speciality is in CXC English and over the years she has have tutored countless students who have gained distinctions and grade ones in the examination level. She currently is a senior lecturer at the University of Guyana in the English department. The Curriculum:
We follow the current CXC syllabus as given by Exams division. However, we tailor our approach in a manner which makes concepts simple and realistic to the student. Our proven teaching strategies have proven year after year to be successful. We have seen students who were told by their school teachers that they were not ready for the English A exam pass with grades ‘1’ and ‘Distinctions’. The Schedule:
We understand that examination students have demanding schedules, that’s why we have three (3) timetable options:
Mornings: 6:30am – 8am
Afternoons: 4pm – 5:30pm & 5:45pm - 7:15 pm
Each student is given three (3) hours of tutoring per week.
