This time, we’re following the lines.
From sweeping architectural forms and winding landscapes to carefully composed perspectives, curves have a way of drawing the eye and shaping the way we experience an image. In this second instalment of “In Focus”, we’ve gathered a selection of visuals from across our portfolio where strong leading lines take centre stage — sometimes subtle, sometimes impossible to miss.

Another Creativepool Annual, another little piece of silverware for the shelf.

This was our third time entering the Annual, and we’re rather happy to say that we’ve managed to pick up a recognition each time. This year, our visuals for Tadao Ando’s Dubai Museum of Art received a Silver in 3D, a particularly nice one to have, considering the company we get to keep at the Creativepool Annual, rubbing shoulders with some of the best names in the UK creative scene.

Huge thanks to Creativepool and the jury for recognising the craft behind the work, and congratulations to all the brilliant people and teams we were lucky enough to share the evening with.

Some projects are rooted in a place; others seem to grow out of it. Together with Storyn Studio, we had the pleasure of creating the visuals for Rum & Ruin, a contemporary Caribbean distillery and cultural destination in St. Thomas, where the architecture draws from the weathered ruins, industrial remnants and tropical landscape of the Virgin Islands.

Built around the idea of an “inhabited ruin”, the project blends production, hospitality and public spaces through heavy stone walls, shaded courtyards, lush planting and open-air terraces.
A particularly atmospheric project to bring to life, balancing the roughness of its material palette with the warmth and vibrancy of its Caribbean setting.

Tomorrow, the D2 family comes together in Budapest once again!

For the second year in a row, our hometown will welcome the D2 community, this time with Brick Visual officially joining D2 as a co-organizer. We’re incredibly happy to welcome old friends, new faces, fellow artists and industry colleagues to our neighbourhood, and to the Budapest Jazz Club, once again hosting the now 13th D2 Conference!

Two packed days are ahead, with a rich schedule of inspiring talks and a wide range of subjects, the very first D2 Awards ceremony, and, of course, all the stories, experiences, thoughts, ideas and laughs that will be shared along the way.
We hope you’ll enjoy the talks, the conversations, the beers, the city, and everything in between. Most of all, we hope you’ll feel right at home here in Budapest.

D2 Conferences

It’s been a rather rewarding year for recognition at Brick, and it seems the streak is still going. This year, we made our first appearance in the Arabia edition of the prestigious International Property Awards , where we were honoured with the award for Property CGI Company, a recognition of Brick’s work as a studio, rather than a single project. And on the architectural side, we’ve been shortlisted as finalists in five categories at the Architizer Vision Awards, including Architectural Visualizer of the Year.

We’re genuinely grateful to see our work acknowledged by two such respected international platforms, each from a slightly different perspective. Awards are never the reason we make images, of course, but they are a pretty nice reminder that the craft, curiosity and countless hours behind them are being noticed.

Two posts in a row, two projects with a distinctly civic purpose. Following our recent collaboration with HOK Architecture on the new Chattanooga U.S. Courthouse, we're pleased to share our visuals for Hastings Architecture’s Nashville Fire Department Headquarters and Fire Station No. 2. Bringing together a countywide administrative headquarters and a front-line downtown fire station, the project balances civic presence with the immediacy of a building designed around public service. We were glad to help bring this sense of purpose, permanence and activity into the visual story of the project.

Architecture can shape not only skylines, but civic identity. It was a pleasure collaborating with HOK Architecture on the visualizations for the new Chattanooga U.S. Courthouse, helping communicate the vision for a design intended to serve the city - and its people - for generations to come.

While we're most often entrusted with visualizing great architecture, this conceptual automotive service facility offered us the rare opportunity to actually help create it.

From the building's sculptural exterior to the interior experience, we were responsible for developing the entire design concept with very few constraints. Rather than presenting a single finished solution from the outset, these images are part of an extensive series of high-quality concept studies, testing atmosphere, composition, lighting and architectural character to discover the most compelling way of telling the project's story.

Seeing the vision evolve through that process made this a particularly satisfying creative journey, and one we're proud to share.

Not every project aims to become an architectural icon, and that's precisely what makes collaborations like this so rewarding.
Together with our long-time partners at ZGF Architects, we had the pleasure of visualizing the UC Merced Medical Education Building, where clarity, functionality and human experience take center stage.

These quieter projects challenge us in a different way, proving that thoughtful architecture often speaks loudest without spectacle.

Some projects have a habit of finding their way back to us.
Two years after creating these visualizations with Paris-based Agence de branding Be Dandy, it's a pleasure to see Sou Fujimoto's remarkable Maison Ruinart visitor pavilion completed and welcoming its first guests.

Watching architecture transition from drawings and pixels into a built experience remains one of the most rewarding aspects of our work.
