From our garden to our home, these little harvest moments always feel like love stories. The big, beautiful pumpkin we patiently watched grow finally found its way into a pot, slowly turning into a rich, comforting pumpkin jam for our family. And right beside it, the sun-kissed papayas, glowing orange and sweet became jars of soft, golden papaya jam. There’s something romantic in the way nature gives, and we transform. From soil and sunlight, to our hands picking them, to the gentle stirring in the kitchen… both the pumpkin and papaya became warm, delicious reminders that our garden doesn’t just feed us, it fills our home with moments, memories, and quiet magic. ✨🌿🧡

We had been away for almost three weeks, and during that time we left our garden in the hands of our trusted gardener. Every day, he’d send us little video updates — clips of the plants swaying in the rain, the leaves glistening, the soil dark and rich. Apparently, it had been raining quite a lot while we were gone.

As soon as we turned into our driveway, we could already feel the excitement building. The garden looked so alive — greener, fuller, as if it had been celebrating the rain in our absence. And the best part is when we were walking through the rows of our organic vegetables, picking fresh produce with our own hands. There’s just something so grounding and joyful about harvesting food you’ve grown yourself.

One of my favorite meals; stir fry bitter melon with anchovies—fresh from our own little farm 🥰
There’s just something so special about growing the food you eat… the taste hits different, the connection runs deeper.

It’s not just a meal—it’s the reward of care, patience, and getting your hands a little dirty. And honestly, it makes every bite feel extra nourishing 🩷

Watching your plants grow—knowing you watered them, fed them, protected them from pests—and then one day, they quietly thank you with fruits and vegetables that nourish your body… it’s a cycle that never stops feeling magical.

The whole process is grounding. It slows you down in all the best ways and reminds you how little things done daily bring the biggest rewards.

A couple of years ago, I had no idea I’d fall in love with this. But I’m so glad I did.

Here are some snapshots of the beautiful things I’ve harvested over the past few weeks from our veggie garden in our new home 💚🌱
