SELAMAT HARI LITERASI INTERNASIONAL 2026

Selamat Hari Literasi Internasional, 8 September 2026!

Salam Literasi 📖✨.

🦋Thank you, Dolly!🦋
We at the Brumback Library, alongside everyone else on Earth, were deeply saddened by the passing of Dolly Parton.
Many of you know her program the Imagination Library very well. She gave away over 100 million free books through Imagination Library, helping countless children to discover their love of reading.
She was a lifelong champion of education and literacy, aiding in taking her home county in Tennessee’s high school dropout rate from 35% to 6%!
Dolly was like no other and we are so grateful we got to be on Earth at the same time she was here. Rest well, Dolly and thanks for everything (and we mean EVERYTHING!).

📚✨🕊️

"Imagine a world where every child, regardless of their background, was surrounded with books, stories, and a love for reading,” said Dolly Parton, who passed away today at the age of 80. While she leaves behind countless songs, performances in films, and more, one of the most enduring aspects of her legacy is not in entertainment, but is instead in children's literacy. Learn about Dolly Parton's Imagination Library, and how to sign your child up for a free book each month, at the link in the first comment.

Books 📚 bring hope✨~Reading lets us step into a new life, feel safe, and find the strength to try again!

Ayoo.....semangat bangun kebiasaan membaca📖✨~Salam Literasi.

🚨UPDATE! 🚨
Tomorrow’s Storytime in the Park in Willshire will be inside at the library. Due to so much wet weather, we don’t want anyone to have soggy bottoms (as Mary Berry would say)!
Storytime is ON just in the library in Willshire. Stop by to see us at 2 PM!
