Looking back at our summer coxswain, bow coxswain, seat filler and rower. We appreciate all that you did for the club in 2026. We will find it hard to fill all the seats you filled this summer season. Best of luck in your senior year at MSU. Wishing you success on and off the water. Delaney Cram

Great work by the Novice 8+. Some were mentally exhausted, all still had the willingness to learn. Balance will come over time. We also said goodbye to our summer coxswain, Delaney Cram as she's returning to East Lansing for her Senior year. She is excited to meet/compete against her younger sister on the water who will be a rowing freshman at Grand Valley State University.
Moody skies. Shower-interuptous. Wind. Golden hour sun. Rainbows. Wednesday crews soaked it all in. Hat tip to both coxswains who remained calm, steered a true course and encouraged their respective crews.
NMRC Coaches have lives outside of rowing. Just received this clip from Coach Sue from last Monday evening. The pause that refreshes!

Tuesday evening Open Session. One of the rowers in this 4x had never sculled before. The rower in question had only just completed the Summer Novice Sweep program.

Monday evening...2 4x's took to ...drills, sets and beautiful conditions.
NMRC members gathered to dedicate a new Fluid Design 2x (double) rowing shell. We gratefully acknowledge the contribution of Cinnaire, Inc. and NMRC member Steve Smith. CINNAIRE - a portmanteau of Celtic orgin; 'CINN' meaning looking ahead & AIRE meaning compassion and caring. This event took place at Solon Township Park- near Cedar, MI on Sunday August 22, 2026.
