Well done to the Under 12 girls who had their first game of the league against a strong Ballyglass team. Our girls put up a good display, Ballyglass ran out the winners in the end. Everyone played really well and great teamwork. Thanks to Ballyglass for hosting it and to all the girls involved

The U16s girls kicked off their league season with a 2-0 win over Fahy Rovers B.
Midway through the 1st half after some great build up play, Alanna Fitzsimmons opened the scoring with a lovely finish in the bottom corner of the net. After some missed opportunities, Rovers doubled their lead in the 2nd half when Kayla Sweeney broke through the defence to score a well deserved goal.
Fantastic team performance from all the players involved.

Our U18 boys made a great start to the U18 league campaign winning season 5-1 away to Westport Utd.
Full team performance with goals from Joey Hanley, Harry Callaghan, Cathal McNamara, Teddy McNamara and Oisin McLoughlin. Thanks to Westport Utd for the match and our travelling supporters!!

Ballyvary BB 1
In front of a big home crowd this evening the Ladies met Ballyvary Blue Bombers in the Valley in the Semi Final of the Division 2 Cup. Ballyvary scored an early goal however Achill dug deep and equalised in the 75th minute with a goal from Kiera Corrigan. Achill Rovers created some great opportunities and were awarded a penalty in the 80th minute. Jemma Western stepped up and scored the winning goal.

Mayo Women’s Shield

Glenhest Rovers 1
Tonight the Ladies hosted Glenhest Rovers in the Quarter Final of the Mayo Women’s Shield. In wet conditions both teams gave their all. In the 16th minute Kiera Corrigan found the back of the net after a lovely cross from Hannah Cattigan. Glenhest fought back and equalized early in the second half. But a penalty from Jemma Western in the 75th minute restored Achill Rovers lead. Rovers defended well to win the match and progress to the semifinals.

The Ladies team hosted Snugboro in the Valley tonight. The teams were well matced but in the 10th minute Snugboro took the lead. Despite the Ladies continuous effort Snugboro extended their lead with a second goal in the final minute. Thanks to Snugboro for travelling and to all our home supporters.
