Cancer Connect is looking for volunteer Drivers in the Charleville area to support our very busy local service. If you have some spare time and would like to make a real difference in your community, we'd love to hear from you.

Duhallow Vintage Club will support the Timmy Collins Memorial Run, in aid of Cancer Connect

📅 Sunday, 27th September 2026

📍 Meelin Hall , P51 FH27

🕥 Registration: 10:30am - 12 noon

☕ Refreshments will be provided on the morning in Meelin Hall
A sit-down meal will be available by donation after the run at Quinlan’s Bar, Meelin.

🏆 The Tim Collins Perpetual Memorial Shield will be presented on the morning, with prizes presented on the day.

What an incredible achievement — €25,000 raised for five very deserving local charities and community groups. 👏

Cancer Connect is incredibly grateful to have been chosen as one of the beneficiaries. €5,000 is an incredible amount of money, and it will make a real difference in helping us continue providing free transport for people travelling to hospital for cancer treatment.

On Monday night last, jointly with Ballinacarriga National School we made a presentation for €1,075 to Cancer Connect from the proceeds of our tractor run held earlier in the year. We were delighted to present the cheque to Pat White & Sean O’Donovan who drive on behalf of Cancer Connect and have the chance to thank them for the fantastic work that they and all the volunteers do for the people of West Cork. We are already looking forward to next years run

A big thank you to our wonderful volunteer driver Liam Barry, from Timoleague, who joined Patricia Messenger on C103 Cork this morning to chat about his role as a volunteer driver with Cancer Connect.

Liam spoke about what volunteering means to him and the difference our amazing volunteer drivers make every day, helping patients from across Cork get to their hospital appointments. Since joining the team in 2021 he has driven a massive 127 times! And he shows no signs of stopping.

Liam's home community are coming together tomorrow night to support the work we do at Timoleague Fashion Show 💙
