Injury Unit located in Bantry General Hospital. Open 365 days a year, we see patients aged 5 and over
We are open seven days a week, from 8am-7pm, and welcome
patients aged five and over with all sorts of minor injuries -
suspected broken bones, sprains, strains, wounds, minor head
injuries, foreign bodies in eyes, ears, nose, skin abscesses...the
list goes on! You can self-present or be referred by your GP,
and we aim to have you seen and sorted with in an hour if
possible. We are proud to be providing this service in the
heart of West Cork for the West Cork community!

Cork hospital wins silver award from UK institution for its cleaner, greener injury unit Bantry General Hospital has won a Silver Award from The Royal College of Emergency Medicine (RCEM) in the UK for its efforts to become cleaner and greener.

Happy retirement to our wonderful consultant Dr Gerry McCarthy who was instrumental in setting up the Injury Unit in 2013 and has been a constant support since then. He's taking Green Ted with him as a momento.
