Glanworth Music Lessons is a music school set up to provide exciting guitar, bass, and piano lessons
A few highlights from our Players Circle at The Cross Bar, Fermoy โ 29th August 2026 ๐ธ๐ค
Players Circle is all about giving students the chance to get out of the lesson room and actually perform โ building confidence, learning how to handle nerves, and getting more comfortable playing in front of people.
A big thank you to Kevin, Mary, Danny, and Jimmy at The Cross Bar for having us and for making everyone feel welcome.
Our players on the day were:
Nyvie Dagpin โ Fermoy
Nataลกa Bossanac โ Fermoy
Emily Coughlan โ Glanworth
Tom Aherne โ Mallow
Stephen Coughlan โ Glanworth
Oisin O'Hagan โ Glenville
Gavin Shaw โ Grenagh
Tara Buckley โ Kildinan
Really proud of everyone who got up and played. Every performance makes the next one that bit easier.
Here are a few highlights from the day. ๐
Glanworth Music Lessons
Yesterday, with just 4 hoursโ notice, we got a call asking if we could help fill an hour-long slot at the Clondulane festival after one of the booked bands had to pull out.
Five of our students stepped up and took on the slot: Danny Howard, Tara Buckley, Nyvie Dagpin, Ben Fitzgerald and Katie Masterson. ๐ธ
No long preparation, no weeks of rehearsing for the gig โ just a chance to get up, play and do the job.
Really proud of how they handled it, and a big thanks to the organisers in Clondulane for giving them the opportunity.
Here are a few highlights from the hour. ๐

A great end to the year with Santa hats, elf ears, and lots of music.
Fair play to all the students for the effort they put in, and thanks to the parents for the ongoing support.
Weโre now closed for Christmas and back in the new year.

๐ TOP STUDENT AWARD โ 2025! ๐
From January to December, student progress was tracked objectively through completed songs and scales, with points awarded consistently throughout the year โ no bias, no favourites, just the work put in.
After 12 months of effort, two students came out on top:
๐ฅ 1st โ Danny Howard
Danny finished the year with the highest score and takes home the Harley Benton Tube 15. Serious commitment and huge progress all year.
๐ฅ 2nd โ Ella Kelly
Ella secured second place with an excellent year of tracked progress, earning the Harley Benton Tube 5. Brilliant work, Ella.
Well done to everyone who took part โ the overall improvement this year was massive.
Roll on 2026! ๐ธ๐ฅ

๐ธ๐ญ A big thank-you to all the younger students for bringing such great energy (and amazing costumes!) to their lessons this week.
Plenty of laughter, music, and creativity in the room โ exactly how it should be.
Hope everyoneโs having a great weekend wherever you are! ๐โจ
One of our ownโlive on the streets of Minnesota! ๐ธ๐บ๐ธ
Check out this brilliant clip of 11 year old Danny Howard jamming with his cousin on a country-rock version of "With or Without You." Not only did he hold his own in a live street gig across the Atlanticโbut he even dropped in an original guitar solo he wrote himself. Thatโs the real deal.
Moments like this are why we teach. Seeing a student take what theyโve learned and run with itโacross the ocean, on a street corner, soloing from the heart. Unreal.
