Solutions

What does EV infrastructure look like when it’s designed into one of Ireland’s most sustainable office developments?

The Solutions EV team recently delivered 29 Zaptec Pro chargers, supported by Woertz flat cable infrastructure, at a landmark 155,000 sq ft workplace in Dublin’s North Docklands.

Designed as a Net Zero Carbon office building, the redevelopment retained 75% of its original structure, operates using renewable electricity and is expected to use significantly less energy than the building it replaced.

In a building where sustainability has been considered from the structure through to the way people travel to work, EV charging forms another part of the bigger picture.

Working alongside the wider project teams, Solutions EV helped ensure the charging infrastructure was coordinated with the building’s electrical requirements - delivering an intelligent, scalable system designed around both current and future demand.

29 chargers. One coordinated infrastructure.

Leading the charge.

Last week, the Solutions EV team were back at Dublin Airport putting the finishing touches to Ireland’s first pantograph bus-charging project.

Solutions EV provided:

✅ 4 × 450kW pantograph bus chargers
✅ On-site project management
✅ On-site commissioning
✅ Pre-maintenance checks

But our involvement doesn't end with commissioning.

We now move into the next phase, a 7-year maintenance and support programme, helping keep this critical charging infrastructure performing for the long term.

Leading the charge.⚡

Smart EV charging is about much more than simply installing the charger.

With well over 2,000 Zaptec Pro chargers installed across Ireland, Solutions EV has seen first-hand the importance of designing EV infrastructure around capacity, scalability and future demand.

At the heart of our AC charging solution, Zaptec Pro uses dynamic load and phase balancing to intelligently manage available power, while woertz flat cable distribution provides a flexible electrical backbone designed to make installation and future expansion easier.

From design and load assessment through to installation, commissioning, CPO services and ongoing support through SolutionsCare, we provide a complete EV charging solution.

Smart infrastructure. Scalable technology. One complete EV solution.

Project Spotlight | Celtic Interconnector ⚡

Ireland’s first direct electricity connection to continental Europe.

Spanning 575km, including approximately 500km of subsea cable, the Celtic Interconnector will enable up to 700MW of electricity to be transferred between Ireland and France - enough to power around 450,000 homes.

Solutions are proud to have supported Suir Engineering at the Ballyadam Converter Station, providing technical engineering support andOBO Bettermann Group cable containment solutions.

From cable routing and EMC requirements to structural loading and long-term reliability, projects of this scale demand infrastructure designed to perform for decades.

More than products. Complete project solutions.

Smarter engineering. More sustainable outcomes. 🌱

From intelligent lighting controls and EV infrastructure to modular wiring and prefabrication, Solutions helps customers improve efficiency, reduce waste and deliver future-ready infrastructure.

By considering sustainability at every stage, from design and product selection through to installation, maintenance and long-term support - we deliver solutions that balance performance, reliability and environmental responsibility.

Because sustainability isn't about one product or technology. It's about making better decisions at every stage.

Building smarter. Building more sustainably. Together.
