A new Lullaby Library has launched in the Special Care Baby Unit at Regional Hospital Mullingar as part of the national Baby Talk programme.
The collection encourages parents of premature and vulnerable babies to read aloud during their hospital stay, helping to support bonding, communication and early literacy from the very beginning.
A lovely example of collaboration between HSE Library, the SCBU team, hospital colleagues and public library services across Westmeath, Offaly and Longford.
And the reading journey can continue after discharge, with the same titles available through local public libraries. π
π Congratulations to everyone involved in bringing this wonderful initiative to babies and their families.
