As we continue developing the new Vector Motors premises in Sandyford, we’re looking for experienced contractors and suppliers to quote for several upcoming projects.

The work required includes:
• Painting the exterior of the building, workshop and indoor vehicle storage area
• Supply and installation of removable stainless-steel entrance bollards
• Supply and installation of large, approximately one-metre-high backlit building signage
• Construction of a complete vehicle wash bay, including groundworks, drainage, water-treatment equipment and connection to the mains water supply
• Supply and installation of a two- or three-bay steel valeting shed
• Redesign and landscaping of the entrance flowerbeds, including new planting

We’re happy to hear from companies that can manage several elements of the project or specialist contractors interested in individual packages.

Recommendations wanted 👇

We’re getting our new workshop set up and are looking to purchase a large, heavy-duty walk-behind scrubber dryer to keep the workshop floor in top condition.

We’re looking for something properly suited to a busy automotive workshop — robust, reliable, easy to use and capable of dealing with the usual dirt, tyre marks, oil and workshop grime.

There seem to be plenty of options out there from the likes of Kärcher, Nilfisk, Hako, Comac, Viper, etc., but we’d much rather hear from people who are actually using them day-to-day.

Who would you recommend?

👍 Any particular models we should look at?
👍 Good suppliers or reps in Ireland?
👍 Anyone we should speak to for a demo?
👍 Anything you’d definitely avoid?

Ideally, we’d like to see a machine demonstrated in our workshop before buying.

The floor of our new workshop received the full treatment over the last few days. When finished there will be six ramps, each with its own air and water supply for the allocated technician. A full repaint of inside and outside will take place when construction of the whole project is completed.
