Internship Opportunities - Partner with TU Dublin's School of Computer Science
With over 1,000 undergraduate and postgraduate students based on our Grangegorman Campus, TU Dublin School of Computer Science is expanding its Industry Work Placement Programme and is seeking new employer partners for 2026/27.
As one of Ireland's largest providers of computing education, the School works with a wide range of technology companies, multinational organisations, public sector bodies and innovative SMEs to provide students with meaningful industry experience as part of their degree programme.
Our Industry Work Placement Programme provides organisations with early access to emerging talent while enabling students to apply their technical and professional skills in a real-world environment. Many of our industry partnerships have developed into long-term relationships, supporting graduate recruitment, guest lectures, industry projects, curriculum development and research collaboration.
We are interested in speaking with organisations that can offer:
✅ A paid internship opportunity of 6 months duration
✅ Work that is aligned with Computing, Software Development, Data, AI, Cybersecurity, Networks, Cloud or related technology disciplines
✅ A designated line manager or supervisor
✅ A named HR or recruitment contact
✅ A structured internship programme with meaningful project work and professional development opportunities
Engage with Our Students
Throughout Semester 1, we host a series of industry engagement sessions with students preparing for placement. Partner organisations have opportunities to:
• Present their organisation and graduate pathways
• Showcase internship opportunities
• Participate in Q&A sessions with students
• Increase visibility among future graduates
• Build relationships with academic staff and the wider School
Interested in Building a Placement Programme?
We also welcome conversations with organisations that may not be ready to recruit this year but are interested in developing an internship programme for future recruitment cycles.
Our team can work with organisations to help:
• Develop suitable internship roles
• Define technical and professional skill requirements
• Create effective job specifications
• Align opportunities with programme learning outcomes
While placement opportunities are an important part of the programme, our objective is to build long-term strategic relationships with organisations that share our commitment to developing future computing professionals.
🤝 Partner With Us
We are always interested in developing relationships with organisations committed to nurturing the next generation of computing professionals.
To discuss partnership opportunities with TU Dublin School of Computer Science, please contact us via direct message or at [email protected].

A great morning at the first TU Dublin Seminar on Explainable AI, hosted by the Centre for eXplainable Artificial Intelligence and the TU Dublin School of Computer Science.
Thanks to everyone who joined us for a session spanning the breadth of the latest research in the field of Explainable AI. Talks ranged from why AI-generated text detection falls short of its benchmark scores, to designer-led approaches to human-centred explainability, WiFi-based human activity recognition, accuracy–size trade-offs in argumentative decision graphs, and multi-method XAI analysis of EEG microstates for cognitive workload.
Our thanks to all the presenters — Sushanta Padasaini, Helen Sheridan, Dr Amany Elkelany, Dr Lucas Rizzo and Dr Bujar Raufi — and to all who came along to share ideas over coffee and a discussion.

Fee Reminder for Students
As we near the end of the academic year, now is a good time to check your student account for any outstanding fees.
We understand this has not been a typical academic year, and due to registration issues, you may not have been able to pay your fees as usual. However, most students should now be able to pay their fees on the student portal.
If there are unpaid fees on your account, your account may be put on hold, so we encourage you to clear any outstanding balances before finishing up for the summer to avoid delays.
You can find information on how to check your account and pay fees here 👇
