When we think about plastic pollution, we often picture litter on our streets or washed up on our beaches. That isn't the whole story.

Most plastic is made from fossil fuels such as oil and natural gas. From extraction and manufacturing to disposal, plastic has a carbon footprint and contributes to greenhouse gas emissions.

How can we help? Well, to protect our local environs and the climate by reducing unnecessary single-use plastics, choosing reusable alternatives and recycling properly are great starts! 💪
