π A week full of emotions at St Francis Afterschool! π
This week, we explored Emotions with the help of The Colour Monster π¨πΉ. We learned to recognise, name and talk about our feelings through lots of fun and creative activities! ππ₯°π‘π’π¨
We also made our very own anti-stress squishy balls ππ«§, enjoyed different emotion-themed activities π¨β¨, and of course, we made time for our homework πβοΈ.
After all that learning, we had lots of fun playing board games and card games, including Connect 4! π΄π‘

π¨π§Έ This week at Hermitage, we stepped into the wonderful world of toys and creativity! πβ¨
Our little explorers enjoyed discovering and sorting different types of toys, from cars and animals to kitchen toys and teddy bears. π§Έππ» They had lots of fun grouping, matching, and exploring the different objects through hands-on activities. π
We also got creative with painting and sensory play, using different colours, textures, and materials to decorate our own toy-themed artwork. π¨ποΈ The children enjoyed experimenting, making marks, and working together while developing their fine motor skills and coordination. πβ¨
Through these playful activities, we encouraged curiosity, imagination, communication, and teamwork, while learning new vocabulary and sharing our favourite toys with our friends. ππ

Our little learners have been busy decorating their classrooms, playing, exploring and learning all about this beautiful season. π³π
They discovered the wonderful colours of autumn, watched how the leaves change and fall from the trees, and enjoyed lots of fun autumn-themed activities along the way. π§‘ππ€

What a fun-filled week! π
The children have been busy exploring, creating and learning through lots of engaging activities. π¨β¨ We enjoyed getting creative with different materials while developing our hand-eye coordination, and our sensory tuff trays provided lots of opportunities to explore, touch, manipulate and discover. π
Outdoor play was another highlight of the week! π€οΈ The children enjoyed exploring the weather and having fun with our new outdoor toys. π
We also ended the week with lots of music, dancing and smiles using our Centre piano. πΆπΉ The children had a wonderful time moving to the music and developing their gross motor skills as they danced and expressed themselves. ππΊ

This week, we discovered that we all have a little superhero inside us! π₯π¦Έ
We let our imaginations run wild as we created our own superpowers and transformed into real-life heroes: π¦ΈββοΈ personalised capes, π‘οΈ superhero shields, π masks, and even our very own superhero characters, each one full of creativity and personality!
And to finish off an amazing week of adventuresβ¦ πβ each child created a bookmark featuring their favourite superhero!

β¨ This week at our After School, we enjoyed a fun-filled Dinosaur Adventure! π¦
The children had lots of fun creating dinosaur eggs, building a dinosaur skeleton, painting a Jurassic World mural, making colourful paper dinosaurs, and creating their own dinosaurs with modelling dough.
Our older students also enjoyed a variety of outdoor activities, sports, schoolwork and dance performances.

π¨π This week at Hermitage, we got creative and explored the world of colours, shapes, and art! ποΈβ¨
Our little artists enjoyed a variety of hands-on activities, using different materials and colours to create their own beautiful artwork. π¨ποΈ They had lots of fun exploring textures, making marks, and expressing their creativity in their own unique ways. π
We also worked on our fine motor skills and coordination through painting, sticking, drawing, and other sensory activities. βοΈπ These activities encouraged the children to explore, experiment, and learn while having lots of fun together. π
