The last ten years. In no particular order.

Back in Berlin this July for the final Nexus.

Delighted to be sharing the booth with for what promises to be a special weekend.

I’ve been part of Nexus since the beginning, so it’s a real privilege to be involved in the final chapter. Massive respect to Thomas Offtrack IE and everyone who’s built such a great community around it over the years.

A few years into playing live together and it’s great to see more space opening up for live performances in clubs in Ireland.

Looking forward to our first extended session in

Friday May 29th

Been preparing for some live shows this year and naturally finding myself nudging the sounds a little bit harder lately.

Leaning more into distortion, pressure and movement 🌊

The Evolver , Analog Rytm and the 909 sounds have definitely been leading the way on these sessions. Trying to push things a little further than I normally would and seeing what sticks.

Looking forward to testing some of these ideas live this year.

Had the honour of playing a 2 hour live set warming up for Moritz von Oswald in Dublin.

His music has influenced me for years, so it meant a lot to be part of that night.

I made a frame for the poster afterwards and have it hanging at home now.

It was also special to have my parents there on the night ❤️

Thanks to and everyone who came early and shared it.
Moments matter.

Been experimenting lately with that push and pull feeling in the groove.
Resampling vocals through the Roland VT4 and reversing bits of percussion.
That psychoacoustic influence for me mainly comes from the Birmingham techno sound. There’s something hypnotic but tough about it that I’ve always loved.
The Yamaha RM1X swing has been great for this as well. It really has a natural groove to the drums and it’s such a warm sounding machine(Thanks again Jay) 
Also been trying a timer when building grooves. The limitation of time seems to make decisions easier.

Been recording loads lately and really happy with how much music I’ve made so far this year.
Simplified the setup and set up a new effects chain on the Model 24 with the SE-70( Thanks Jay ) OTO Boum and RE 20 Space Echo.
Stripped the machines back and found myself drawn to the 909 sound more and more this year.
Just groove and functionality really.

Next Saturday I’m warming up live for Moritz von Oswald at Tengu in Dublin.

His work has had a lasting influence on how I approach music and still inspires me today. M5 is one of my favourite records. That simplicity and groove are hard to beat.

It’s been a few years since I last played the club and I’m really looking forward to this one.
