🦌🚗 Deer are involved in more road traffic incidents than many people realise.

📊Between 2019 and 2025, there were over 1,300 road traffic incidents involving deer recorded across Ireland.

If you're driving in areas with known deer populations, stay alert and reduce your speed, especially where deer warning signs are in place.

⚠️ Dusk and dawn are particularly high-risk times, as deer are often more active.

🦌 If you encounter deer on the road, remain calm, slow down safely, and avoid sounding your horn, as this can cause animals to react unpredictably.

🦌Remember, where there is one deer, there may be more. Deer often travel in groups, so always watch for additional animals crossing behind the first.

A few extra seconds of caution can help keep you, your passengers, and our wildlife safe.

If it is due to expire soon, follow these steps to renew online

1. You can renew within 3 months of your expiry

2. Make sure your PSC is in date, if not renew this first

3. Gather all your documents and submit them at the same time as your application. This way everything can be processed together
